I wanted to pass on a useful resource that some of your fellow players have started. Based on the in-game Library of Sosaria, this wiki keeps track of important Ultima Online and Great Lakes books and plot information, including EM events:

Great stuff here! I’d love to know how you guys copied those books found in the Library. If there’s a program out there that you can use please let me know. I’d hate to think that you guys actually hand-jammed it all!
Learned alot about the mission’s history. Appreciate your dedication and hard work. Great tool.

There is a mod for the Enhanced Client that allows books to be copied into text files. Bookwyrm mentioned it a previous spy debriefing. http://uo.modders-exchange.net/ should have it still.
