The Face of Evil

 

This evening, many brave citizens followed the trail of one Philip Stafford, Queen Dawn's traitorous personal secretary. Stafford had narrowly managed to evade arrest by the palace guard in Castle British, managing to steal plans for Britannia's prosecution of the war against the Bane Chosen.

The traitor's trail ended on the Bane occupied Isle of Magincia at the site of partially constructed daemonic temple. There, citizens finally came face-to-face with the being behind the Bane Chosen and the Isle's corruption: VirtueBane.

The jade hued arch-daemon towered over the Britannians, dismissive of their combined might. He called them "Gnats, full of fury and self-importance." Galen Knighthawke of the Legacy of the Fallen, leader of the four successful Magincian Crusades, managed to goad VirtueBane into recklessness.

VirtueBane agreed that the stolen war plans could be won back if the citizens could defeat the 'weakest of Virtuebane's Honor Guard.' Several minutes later, the honor guard lay dead and the plans were recovered by a woman named Shumer. With his pride wounded, the arch-daemon boasted "Your blood will have a special place in the foundation of my temple!" before vanishing.

The face of Magincia's destroyer has finally been revealed, his intent for the conquest of our world seems clear. We must continue the defense of our cities from the incursions of this daemon's minions. We must show him that our Virtue is not something he can subvert.
