Title: Diary
Author: J.M.
I know I must keep my
true name a secret, as
it could give someone
great power over me.
Still, I cannot resist
telling it in some way. So
Ive written the letters
of it on the shells of six
ostard eggs. Tomorrow I
shall bring them along
with me as I hunt. Ill
hide them in six different
rabbit-infested spots. The
regular bunnies will ignore
them, but I hope Easter
bunnies will deliver them
to dreadful little brats
all over Sosaria. Thus
shall my name be
scattered to the winds
and never spoken again!
Im thinking of publishing my hunting guides.
Currently, I keep them on display for select visitors to consult. It would be nice to have more gold and be able to enjoy saffron rabbit more often.
I know Im ancient, old as time... yet I dont remember much beyond a few days ago. Except I remember being alive then and everything I did, my entire life. Its vexing me terribly.
When I leave the house and see all the rabbit bones, all those little bunny skulls piled up, I feel truly contented. Life may not be perfect, but it is quite good.
Ive moved the burning skull to the top of my bookshelf. I used to have a matching pair; they looked good on the fence posts outside, glowering into the night. Then I gave one to my serving girl so she could kill her evil stepsisters. I had to, of course, because the two stepsisters were the original source of the skulls. Oddly circular year that was.
