Title: On the Tribes of Eodon: Kurak

Author: Professor Ellie Rafkin

In the southern lowlands of the Valley of Eodon we encountered nimble jungle cats that hunt by the dim moonlight each night. Several of our party were unfortunate enough to encounter these animals before our escorts were able to secure a perimeter. The cats are worshiped by the Kurak Tribe. The Kurak are a caring people with shared morals and beliefs of the Urali, but in relation to the tiger. The Kurak adorn themselves in a variety of colors - matching the rarity in which one may encounter tigers in the wild with orange being the most common, with black and white being progressively more uncommon. Wealthy homesteads in Britannia covet the furs of the tigers, particularly those of the juvenile tiger cubs. Trappers have taken to the practice of enclosing the cubs before they can transport them for skinning. Our escorts had a nasty encounter with several of the trappers, and antidotes to powerful poisons were required to save several who were injured. The Kurak have attempted to free the cubs, the intricate locking mechanisms of the enclosures, has unfortunately proved to complex for them. Care should be taken in the lowlands as the native tiger population does not take kindly to intruders given the circumstances.
