Please give my painting of the pretty lady to Sara Goodall. She always had a hankering for it and it would look better in her front room than that ugly thing she has hanging there now.

Please do NOT let my sister Henrietta have Mama's glass pitcher. Hen was always such a klutz, she would only break it. Give it to Homer. He'll take good care of it.

Please have the ladies from my quilt circle lay me to rest. I do not want any men there.

They would not take me out when I was alive, they aren't taking me out now!

I'll be waiting for you all on the other side.
