Title: A Disturbance in Yew

I summoned the guard as we were joined by Ellison a guard from the area surrounding Yew. While he was exploring the forests north of his guard tower he encountered a very large force of undead and some strange trees. We folowed him back to his tower and marched north toward Yew.

We arrived in Yew and discovered a very strange portal in the forests. The undead were quickly dispatched by the guardsmen and women. The trees were a much more challenging feat. These "Vile Branches" as they were called attacked fiercely but the guard was ultimately triumphant.

As the Branches were defeated a dead figure appeared and wandered around clearly attempting to contact us. We attempted to resurrect him and commune with him. Eventually he began to fade a bit and then finally disappeared.

On a hunch that there may be more to this scene we had encountered I sent the Guard out to search the forests for any indication of where the undead, Branches and this shrouded figure came from.
