The Inquiry -

Magnus Grey: Ra'Dian, do you mind being judge again?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: It would be an 'onor t' serve.
Magnus Grey: We need a few lawyers.
Magnus Grey: Who remembers the details well enough to discuss them?
Thanatos Angelos: Martyna
Malag aste: Martyna
Magnus Grey: *laughs*
Magnus Grey: Not much suprise by that.
Magnus Grey: Martyna, wish to be drafted?
Martyna Z'muir: Throw me under the cart why don't you...
Martyna Z'muir: Very well..
Thanatos Angelos: ... yea, pretty much. *grins*
Malag aste: I was only using Honesty.
Magnus Grey: Adversary or Advocate?
Martyna Z'muir: *sighs*
Magnus Grey: Do you wish to defend or prosecute, Martyna?
Magnus Grey: Don't worry, one of the others here will be drafted into the other role.
Martyna Z'muir: Well, as it was I who first raised the question of his... status.. I guess Adversary.
Magnus Grey: *nods*
Magnus Grey: So now we need a lawyer for the Defense.
Magnus Grey: *nods*
Magnus Grey: Thanatos, Gem, Galen, Malag-aste?
Magnus Grey: Any volunteers?
Malag aste: Well don't look at me I don't know much about human laws.
Gem: I fear I do not recall the events well enough
Thanatos Angelos: Both Galen and I arrived after these incidents took place.
Magnus Grey: Since this is more of a civil case in some ways, it comes down to right and wrong, Malag.
Malag aste: *sighs...*
Malag aste: very well
Malag aste: I pity you Tomas
Malag aste: But I shall do my best.
Magnus Grey: Malag-aste, thank you.
Tomas Savos: I will not hold harsh feelings either way, to any who involve themselves in the trial
Magnus Grey: I'm assuming the two travellers wish to be the jury?
Galen: *shakes head*
Magnus Grey: What about you, Gem?
Galen: I'm just watching.
Gem: Yes i will serve
Thanatos Angelos: A jury of two?
Magnus Grey: My position makes being on the jury impossible.
Magnus Grey: And a jury of two might be problematic.
Martyna Z'muir: Bench trial?
Malag aste: *looks at Thomas*
Malag aste: Are you ok with that?
Tomas Savos: As this is not exactly binding, I feel the outcome will matter on what is learned
Tomas Savos: Not who decides if they think that means I am guilty or innocent
Malag aste: So that's a yes?
Tomas Savos: *nods*
Malag aste: Very well
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Please take a few moments t' prepare yerselves as necessary...
Tomas Savos: To avoid any risk of fear that my presence might sway somebody's words
Magnus Grey: Since James didn't have time to get a book of evidence and such prepared
Tomas Savos: I will be stepping out when others testify
Malag aste: You may be a witness.
Magnus Grey: He gave me a quick briefing
Tomas Savos: *nods*
Magnus Grey: So I can help you if you can't remember the witness list and such
Malag aste: I sure hope that you were treated well while imprisoned Thomas.
Magnus Grey: Queen Dawn wishes to know what actually happened
Tomas Savos: Well enough, I suppose
Magnus Grey: Since Tomas's position and whether he keeps it or not is so important
Malag aste: Did you happen to see anything of Avery while you were there?
Tomas Savos: I did not see him, but I hear he has been freed as well
Malag aste: That is good.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *makes some preliminary notes as the others prepare*
Magnus Grey: Britannian law explains that all documents must be shared between both parties.
Magnus Grey: I'm also a Court Courier for the night.
Martyna Z'muir: *chuckles*
Magnus Grey: Your honor, do you mind if I use the corner of your bench for evidence?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Please feel free, m'lord.
Magnus Grey: Thank you

Lars: All rise, the Honorable Ra'Dian Fl'Gith presiding.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lords, are ye prepared t' begin?
Martyna Z'muir: Aye, your Honor.
Tomas Savos: *looks over at Malag*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *looks to Malag*
Malag aste: Aye, Your Honor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Then we shall begin...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This inquiry t'day shall look int' th' alleged actions an' affairs surroundin' one Tomas
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Savos with regard t' incidents durin' th' reign o' Casca.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Most specifically, th' poisonin' o' Britannian Farms.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Th' results o' this inquiry shall be shared wi' 'er Majesty, Queen Dawn,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: as th' information shall aid in 'er determination o' m'lord Savos' continued service
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: t' th' Kingdom o' Britannia.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *looks to Martyna*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady, are ye prepared wi' an openin' statement?
Tomas Savos: *looks back*
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Ye may proceed.
Martyna Z'muir: Thank you, your Honor.
Tomas Savos: *whispers*
Tomas Savos: *whispers*
Martyna Z'muir: Based on the evidence gathered during the investigation into the poisonings, and expert evaluation

of said evidence, I shall show that Mister Savos was involved
Martyna Z'muir: in the plot to harm the west Britain farms, and possibly the relative peace with the orcs of

Yew.
Martyna Z'muir: Thank you...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods and looks to Malag*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lord, are ye prepared wi' an openin' statement?
Malag aste: Yes Your Honor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Please proceed.
Malag aste: I wish to make it known that Thomas Savos pleads not guilty
Malag aste: to the aqusations
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: So entered.
Malag aste: And we hope to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he did not infact have anything
Malag aste: to do with the poisonings nor did he write the notes in question.
Malag aste: Thank you your Honor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Thank ye, m'lord...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *looks back to Martyna*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady, are ye prepared t' call yer first witness?
Martyna Z'muir: Aye, your Honor. The People call Gregor Corosi of Moonglow to the stand.
Tomas Savos: I shall step out, to avoid biasing the other witnesses
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Malag aste: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lord Corosi, do ye swear that th' testimony ye are about t' give shall be th' truth
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: an' nae but?
Gregor Corosi: I do
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods and gestures to the chair*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Please be seated.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady, ye may proceed.
Martyna Z'muir: Thank you, your Honor...
Martyna Z'muir: Thank you for coming here today, Mister Corosi..
Martyna Z'muir: Mister Corosi, you evaluated a key piece of evidence in this hearing, did you not? A tome entitled

'Instructions from Above'?
Gregor Corosi: I did, yes
Martyna Z'muir: You compared the handwriting of that book with a known sample of Mister Savos's writing, correct? A

book about Casca's ascension to the throne, I believe..
Gregor Corosi: I compared it with a book claiming to be written by Tomas, about a speech of Casca's, yes
Gregor Corosi: But I am unaware where that book came from
Martyna Z'muir: The book containing the speech came from the Counselor's Hall in Britain... Based on your

comparison, what did you discern?
Gregor Corosi: My best guess would be that the authors were the same, though there were differences
Gregor Corosi: The note, as well as the other notes I was asked to examine
Martyna Z'muir: Your best guess?
Gregor Corosi: Had a shakier handwriting than the summary of Casca's speech
Gregor Corosi: But the differences matched what one would expect
Gregor Corosi: If the author was simply nervous
Gregor Corosi: So I would still say it is most likely the same author
Gregor Corosi: But unfortunately handwriting, while difficult to forge, is not impossible
Martyna Z'muir: Hmm.. In the earlier trial, you seemed more sure of your comparison. Has something changed?
Gregor Corosi: No, I was uncertain then as well
Gregor Corosi: I'm not that uncertain about it... there is just a chance that has to be acknowledged
Martyna Z'muir: Very well. You stand by your comparison, and for the record, state that the handwriting is "most

likely the same" and not a work or forgery?
Gregor Corosi: Correct
Martyna Z'muir: Thank you, I beleve that is all the questions I have for this witness at present.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods and looks to Malag*
Malag aste: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Yer witness, m'lord. Please proceed.
Malag aste: Mr Corosi.....
Malag aste: Can you tell me for the record... where you got your training as a handwritting expert?
Gregor Corosi: I have studied for nearly three dozen years at the Lycaeum
Gregor Corosi: Analyzing tomes old and new, primarily to determine authorship of unknown works
Malag aste: I see.... and who hired ye for the first trial?
Gregor Corosi: For the trial, it was a guard...
Gregor Corosi: I forget his name
Malag aste: John Teruli?
Gregor Corosi: No, no... one of the Castle Guards for Casca
Malag aste: Very well
Gregor Corosi: But that was the second time I was asked about the handwriting
Malag aste: So... have you ever "mistook" a fogery for the real thing?
Martyna Z'muir: *arches a brow*
Gregor Corosi: I did a few times when I was younger, but I haven't... at least not for the
Gregor Corosi: works I can solidly confirm by the author or witness agreeing
Gregor Corosi: For at least twenty years
Malag aste: And who provided the "handwritting" example of Thomas for you to compare to the notes?
Gregor Corosi: It was a fairly large group of Volunteer Royal Guards
Malag aste: They provided you this book?
Malag aste: *holds up Casca Becomes King*
Gregor Corosi: *takes a closer look*
Malag aste: Which is supposedly his "known" handwritting?
Gregor Corosi: Yes, that appears to be the one
Malag aste: You say the Volunteer royal guards provided this?
Gregor Corosi: A rather large group of them, yes
Malag aste: And the notes of his alleged writting?
Malag aste: Who provided those?
Gregor Corosi: The same group
Gregor Corosi: I believe it was Lady Martyna, actually, who handed them to me
Gregor Corosi: But I may be mistaken, I was not expecting to need to remember specifics at the time
Malag aste: Very well....
Martyna Z'muir: I can confirm his account.
Malag aste: But in the previous trial you said the ones were in poor condition
Gregor Corosi: Yes, some of the notes were torn
Malag aste: Is it possible the condition of the papers is too bad to properly compare the writtings?
Gregor Corosi: The only difficulty with comparing the handwriting is the lack of length
Gregor Corosi: The papers were in good enough condition to read and examine just fine
Malag aste: Very well I have no further questions Your Honor....
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady Z'muir, do ye 'ave any brief rebuttal questions?
Martyna Z'muir: Not at this time your Honor.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This Court thanks ye fer yer time, m'lord Corosi. Ye may be excused, but please
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: remain in th' court should th' Defense need t' call ye ag'in fer their testimony.
Gregor Corosi: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady Z'muir, do ye 'ave another witness ye wish t' call?
Martyna Z'muir: Aye, your Honor. The People call John Teruli to the stand.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lord Teruli, do ye swear that th' testimony ye are about t' give shall be th' truth
John Teruli: I do swear
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: an' nae else.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods and gestures to chair*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Please be seated.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady, ye may proceed.
John Teruli: *fusses with his cloak*
Martyna Z'muir: Thank you, your Honor.
Martyna Z'muir: Mister Teruli, you were a member of the Royal Guard during the Cascan Regime?
John Teruli: Aye, I was
Martyna Z'muir: And were you called as a witness during the trial of one Tomas Savos?
John Teruli: Aye, that is true as well
Martyna Z'muir: Could you please tell the Court why you were called that day?
John Teruli: I was called on to testify on Tomas's character
John Teruli: His behavior as the Commander of the Guard and such
Martyna Z'muir: Did you know him before he took the position?
John Teruli: No
Martyna Z'muir: So you only knew him since he took the position...
John Teruli: Yes, and only through our roles in the Royal Guard
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
Martyna Z'muir: Could you please tell this Court what you said in Justice Verina's courtroom so long ago?
John Teruli: Certainly...
John Teruli: I joined the Royal Guard shortly before Tomas did, but on the other end of the spectrum
John Teruli: Though still a promotion over town guard
John Teruli: Generally speaking, none of the formal members liked how he was appointed
Martyna Z'muir: Oh?
Martyna Z'muir: Please explain..
John Teruli: He had a clear lack of experience, and knew very little about how things tend to work for
John Teruli: the Royal Guard, or any guard position for that matter
John Teruli: He was always very nervous when he needed to make decisions
John Teruli: And was often difficult to reach when trying to bring him reports
Martyna Z'muir: Difficult to reach?
John Teruli: Yes, he had an office, but never used it
Martyna Z'muir: Hmm.
John Teruli: Instead he was either guiding the Volunteer force, or in one of the libraries, or in a meeting with
John Teruli: Casca or one of the high ranking officers that were there before he joined
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
You see: Andy the Keeper of Records
Martyna Z'muir: So more often than not, he was conducting Royal Guard business?
John Teruli: As far as I could tell, yes
John Teruli: But he did a very poor job at it
Martyna Z'muir: Did he ever slip away to parts unknown?
John Teruli: Quite possibly, but I honestly don't know
John Teruli: My rank wasn't high enough to know where he was supposed to be very often
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
John Teruli: Just high enough to know it was annoying when I needed to reach him
Martyna Z'muir: Did you ever notice Mister Savos acting suspiciously?
John Teruli: Well he was always nervous
Martyna Z'muir: Aside from that?
John Teruli: Not that I saw, no
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
Martyna Z'muir: Very well, I am done with this witness, your Honor.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods and looks to Malag*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Your witness, m'lord.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Please proceed.
Malag aste: So you didn't know Thomas very long?
John Teruli: No, not really
Malag aste: Did you ever know him to write himself notes often?
John Teruli: *thinks*
John Teruli: No... I don't think so. He wrote larger tomes sometimes...
John Teruli: Well... larger than simple notes
Malag aste: *nods*
Malag aste: I see.
Malag aste: And do you know who hired Mr Savos?
John Teruli: Casca did
Malag aste: I see.
Malag aste: So you never knew him to act suspiciously?
John Teruli: Aside from always acting nervous, no
Malag aste: And whenever you did see him was he often alone?
Malag aste: Or did he travel with other guards?
John Teruli: He was alone usually when he was in the libraries, but otherwise he was usually with somebody
John Teruli: Or moving from one set of people to another
Malag aste: I see.
Malag aste: I have no further questions Your honor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady Z'muir, do ye 'ave any brief rebuttal questions?
Martyna Z'muir: I believe I do, your Honor.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Please proceed.
John Teruli: Even more? Last time there were much fewer...
John Teruli: Oops... sorry
John Teruli: *holds his mouth shut*
Martyna Z'muir: Mister Teruli, you stated that Mister Savos moved from 'one group of people to the next'.. Did you

ever see him with mages.. Or perhaps any of the races we might call 'monsters'?
John Teruli: One group of guards to another, or nobles
John Teruli: Always people often seen at Castle Blackthorn, or in Britain
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
Martyna Z'muir: So you never saw him in the presence of a poison elemental?
Martyna Z'muir: Or a human with green-tinged skin?
John Teruli: Imperus, you mean? Only once
John Teruli: He appeared out of nowhere, challenged Tomas, then fled as guards started to chase after him
Martyna Z'muir: *arches a brow*
Martyna Z'muir: Where did this occur?
John Teruli: The courtyard of Castle Blackthorn
Martyna Z'muir: How did Mister Savos react?
John Teruli: Annoyed, and slightly shaken
Martyna Z'muir: Shaken? as if he were afraid?
Martyna Z'muir: Or something more?
John Teruli: More shocked... I suppose everyone kind of was
John Teruli: Kind of a "somebody pops out of a closet and yells boo" kind of thing
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
Martyna Z'muir: Did it appear as though Mister Savos was well aquated with Imperus Noxum?
John Teruli: No
John Teruli: At the time, nobody knew who it was
Martyna Z'muir: Really?
John Teruli: Figured it was some childish mage who learned a new spell and wanted to have fun
Martyna Z'muir: Was this before the VRG's innagural trek to Wrong?
Martyna Z'muir: Er.. sorry.. my mistake.. Shame..
John Teruli: No, after
John Teruli: Probably two days before Imperus showed himself publicly after that
Martyna Z'muir: Interesting.
Martyna Z'muir: Very well.. Nothing further.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This Court thanks ye fer yer time, m'lord Teruli... please remain in th' Court should
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: yer testimony be further needed, but ye may be excused fer now.
John Teruli: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *looks to Martyna*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'ave ye another witness t' call, m'lady Z'muir?
Martyna Z'muir: The People call Carina the farmer to the stand.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lord Carina do ye swear that th' testimony ye are about t' give is th' truth,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: an' shall be nae but?
Carina: Ya, sure
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods and gestures to chair
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Please be seated.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady, please proceed.
Martyna Z'muir: Thank you for coming here today, Mister Carina..
Martyna Z'muir: You were originally a person of interest in the poisonings that occured at the farms in west

Britain, aye?
Carina: Yes
Martyna Z'muir: Were any formal charges brought against you?
Carina: No
Martyna Z'muir: Do you know why the VRG focused its investigation on you?
Carina: Because I hate most of the other farmers
Martyna Z'muir: ...
Martyna Z'muir: I see.
Martyna Z'muir: Most, but not all.. You have a fondness for Julie, I believe?
Carina: Yes'm
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
Martyna Z'muir: For the record, did you have any involvement with the spread of the poison amongst the farms?
Carina: No
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
Martyna Z'muir: Your journal during this period became public reading, correct?
Carina: Unfortunately
Martyna Z'muir: One of your last entries... June 2nd, in fact.. You questioned Mister Savos's devotion to the

Kingdom?
Carina: I did
Martyna Z'muir: Would you please tell the court why?
Carina: Well, he kept snooping around by my house, and never did anything to you cursed journal readers
Martyna Z'muir: *coughs slightly*
Martyna Z'muir: Mmm.. Yes.. Snooping about your house you say.. Could you elaboate, please?
Carina: He was looking around the mountains to the north of my house, like he lost something
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
Martyna Z'muir: Do you happen to know what was lost?
Carina: Yes, a list of council members... or at least thats what he said at the last trial
Martyna Z'muir: You were called as a witness?
Carina: Yes
Martyna Z'muir: For which side?
Martyna Z'muir: Prosecution or Defense?
Carina: The prosecution
Martyna Z'muir: Would you please tell this court what you said in Justice Verina's courtroom?
Carina: I said about him snooping by my home
Martyna Z'muir: Is that all?
Carina: And there was talk of a boy...
Carina: But... erm...
Carina: That was paid for
Martyna Z'muir: Paid for?
Carina: Didn't happen... or at least not witnessed by me
Martyna Z'muir: Wait.. Are you saying that testimony at the first trial was fabricated?
Carina: Yes
Martyna Z'muir: This is troubling..
Carina: I was given the story by Casca, and some gold, and promised that the snoopers in my house would
Carina: be brought to justice
Martyna Z'muir: *raises a brow*
Martyna Z'muir: *sighs*
Martyna Z'muir: I believe I am done with this witness, your Honor.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods and looks to Malag*
Martyna Z'muir: *mumbles about dead srow*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Yer witness, m'lord... please proceed.
Malag aste: So..... let me get this straight.
Malag aste: You questioned Thomas's devotion
Malag aste: Because he was snooping?
Carina: And not trying to bring trespasser's to Justice
Carina: And for that Truce idea with the orcs...
Carina: The three combined kind of made him seem fishy
Malag aste: And these "trespassers" as you call them..... were they royal guard?
Carina: They were Volunteer Guards... but anybody can make themselves one
Carina: Just show up and claim to want to help...
Carina: Hardly in a place where one should let them go snooping through other people's stuff
Malag aste: Did these "trespassers" find you guilty of anything?
Carina: Some thought I was
Malag aste: But were you charged?
Carina: No
Malag aste: Did they destroy anything of yours?
Carina: No
Malag aste: I see...... but they did find the evidence of what was poisoning the farms did they not?
Carina: Not in my stuff, no
Malag aste: But they did stop the poisonings did they not?
Carina: The poison that was there was removed, and no more came back
Malag aste: I see.....
Malag aste: And you say Casca paid you to give false testemony about a boy at the first trial?
Carina: Yes
Malag aste: And did he follow through with his promise to you?
Carina: Gold, yes. Justice, no.
Malag aste: For the record how much were you paid?
Carina: Five thousand gold
Malag aste: And how much wheat would you have to sell to make that sort of money?
Carina: Probably four months worth
Malag aste: I see....
Carina: During usual times
Malag aste: Now can you tell me.....
Malag aste: Had you ever seen Thomas speaking to orcs around your farm?
Carina: No
Malag aste: Did you ever see any orcs around your farm?
Martyna Z'muir: *doodles pictures of Casca roasting in the Abyss on her notepad*
Carina: Yes
Galen: *looking over, nodding at the likeness*
Malag aste: And what happened to them
Carina: Some wandered off, some I saw killed
Malag aste: By whome?
Carina: Random adventurers
Malag aste: Random adventurers or Volunteer Guards?
Martyna Z'muir: *glances at Magnus ans smirks*
Carina: Some of 'em might have been Volunteer "Guards"
Malag aste: I see .... but there never was a boy shot by the orcs was there?
Magnus Grey: *nods*
Carina: There might've been, but I never saw him
Malag aste: I see..
Malag aste: And did you ever see Thomas doing anything questionable?
Malag aste: Other than searching?
Carina: Just the snooping
Malag aste: So you didn't see him speaking ot any poison elementals either?
Carina: No
Malag aste: Or any humans who may have looked a bit green?
Carina: No
Malag aste: Very well.....
Malag aste: No further questions your Honor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods and looks at Martyna*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady, any brief rebuttal questions?
Martyna Z'muir: Your honor, at this time I would request that Mister Carina be taken into custody on charges of

perjury, obstruction of Justice, and graft...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Err...
Carina: *looks*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This Casca regime will be 'auntin' us for quite some time, shall it nae?
Martyna Z'muir: *shrugs*
Martyna Z'muir: The man had a choice.
Martyna Z'muir: He chose poorly.
Carina: You deny a king when you're in a Window-less room and no way out except through his guards?
Malag aste: *says sarcasticly*
Malag aste: Oh yes I am sure he did.
Carina: Especially when he pays for it?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I will take th' request under advisement, but shall wish t' speak wi' 'er Majesty first
Carina: Err...
Martyna Z'muir: You accepted payment for false testimony, Mister Carina.
Carina: Nobody knew that then
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: or one who may speak on 'er behalf afore we start a Cascan witch 'unt.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: For this eve, let us remain focused on th' inquiry at 'and.
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
Magnus Grey: Now that's an interesting legal quandry...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I do 'owe'er order ye nae t' leave Britannia proper, m'lord.
Magnus Grey: Queen Dawn released Casca's prisoners declaring the cases against them null and void
Carina: Fine, all I got's in my farm anyway
Magnus Grey: So is the perjury also null and void?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: It may well be, but I would certainly wish t' know 'er mind on such.
Martyna Z'muir: Mister Carina was not a prisoner..
Magnus Grey: Sorry...thinking outloud.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: At any rate...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Let us refocus... 'ave ye any brief rebuttal questions fer th' witness?
Martyna Z'muir: Nay, your Honor.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Carina: *grumbles as he walks off*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lord, this Court thanks ye fer yer time. Please remain should th' Defense need t'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: call ye ag'in...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Any further witnesses, m'lady?
Martyna Z'muir: Not at this time, your Honor. I will wait to cross-examine Mister Savos...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Ver' well, m'lady...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lord Malag, are ye prepared t' call yer first witness?
Malag aste: Aye
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Please proceed.
Malag aste: I would like to have John Teruli called back to the stand.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lord Teruli, I remind ye that ye remain under oath...
John Teruli: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Please be seated.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Proceed, m'lord.
Malag aste: Mr Teruli
Malag aste: You stated that you were called as a witness in the first trial
Malag aste: Yes?
John Teruli: Correct
Malag aste: So you saw saw Imperus at Blackthorns?
John Teruli: Yes, once
Malag aste: And you stated that Thomas seemed "shaken" or shocked by this Imperus's appearance there?
John Teruli: Yes
Malag aste: So to the best of your knowledge you would say that it didn't seem to you that Thomas
Malag aste: had any prior aquentance with Imperus?
John Teruli: Not in that form, no
Malag aste: Or that he and Imperus were on more "friendly" terms?
John Teruli: No
Malag aste: Do you know what Imperus was doing at Blackthorns that day?
John Teruli: He challenged Tomas to a game of chess
Malag aste: And did Thomas agree?
John Teruli: Imperus was chased off before Tomas had a chance to respond
Malag aste: And would you say Thomas was relieved or annoyed by that?
John Teruli: Neither
Malag aste: What was his reaction?
John Teruli: He seemed like he wasn't interested in the chess, but wondered who it was
Martyna Z'muir: *doodles pictures of Imperus Noxum wearing a polka dot dress*
Malag aste: I see
John Teruli: If it were anybody else, I would have found it an odd reaction
John Teruli: But with that protection charm or whatever he's got, he had no reason to really be afraid
Malag aste: But you said Thomas appeared "nervous" quite often...
Malag aste: So this encounter with a poison elemental didn't seem to make him any more "nervous".... to you?
John Teruli: Not really
Malag aste: Very well nothing further Your Honor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods, looks to Martyna*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Do ye 'ave any questions fer th' witness?
Martyna Z'muir: Thank you, your Honor..
Martyna Z'muir: Aye, I do..
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Please proceed...
Martyna Z'muir: Mister Teruli... You mentioned a protection charm.. I presume you reference Mister Savos's ability

to remove himself from harm?
John Teruli: Or prevent himself from getting into it, yes
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
John Teruli: Physical harm, that is
Martyna Z'muir: Now, for a man who can do that... Why did he seem so nervous?
Malag aste: Objection your honor
Malag aste: He's asking the witness to speculate
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Sustained... please move on or rephrase.
Martyna Z'muir: Mmm
Martyna Z'muir: Alright, regardless of his near invulnerability, he appeared nervous...
Martyna Z'muir: Correct?
John Teruli: Yes
Martyna Z'muir: Have you ever heard of a man named Isaac Norwall?
John Teruli: Not that I can remember
Martyna Z'muir: Did you ever hear Mister Savos speak that name?
John Teruli: No
Martyna Z'muir: How about anyone else in the Royal Guard, or the previous government?
John Teruli: No
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
Martyna Z'muir: Very well, nothing further.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods and looks to Malag*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Any brief rebuttal questions, m'lord?
Malag aste: I have nothing further for this witness Your Honor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This court thanks ye fer yer time.
John Teruli: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I believe it is safe fer ye t' depart fer th' eve.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'ave ye any further witnesses t' call, m'lord?
Malag aste: The Defense Calls Thomas Savos....
Malag aste: to the stand
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lord Savos, do ye swear that th' testimony ye shall now give be th' truth
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: an' nae but?
Tomas Savos: I do
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods and gestures to the chair*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Ye may be seated.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lord, please proceed...
Malag aste: Thomas....
Malag aste: I would like you to examine the evidence in this chest
Tomas Savos: *looks in the chest*
Malag aste: Did you write this book
Malag aste: Casca Becomes King?
Tomas Savos: Yes, I did
Malag aste: And these torn bits of paper are those your writting?
Tomas Savos: I do not remember writing any of them, and none of them are about situations I remember occuring
Malag aste: And the Instructions
Malag aste: Where you tell Marcosi to keep an eye on Casca
Malag aste: Is that your writting?
Tomas Savos: The only writing in that chest that I wrote is the one entitled Casca Becomes King
Malag aste: Yet the handwritting expert Gregor Corosi claims that the writting is yours.
Malag aste: Can you explain that?
Tomas Savos: Other than the possibility of it being a talented forgery, or a lie by Gregor Corosi...
Tomas Savos: No
Malag aste: Would Gregor have any reason to lie about it?
Tomas Savos: Not that I know of
Malag aste: Did you ever meet Mr Corosi Before?
Tomas Savos: No
Malag aste: And in your previous trial it was stated earlier that the testimony given by Carina....
Malag aste: was false.
Malag aste: Was there anything else at your previous trial that you know to be false?
Martyna Z'muir: Objection!
Malag aste: *glares at Martyna*
Malag aste: For what?
Martyna Z'muir: Only part of Mister Carina's testimony was a lie..
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Let th' record show that only part o' Carina's testimony was known t' be false.
Malag aste: Very well the testimony about a boy being shot by an orc was false.....
Malag aste: Do you know of any other false testimony given at that trial?
Martyna Z'muir: Objection!
Martyna Z'muir: Calls for speculation!
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Sustained... please reprhase or move on...
Malag aste: Do you believe any of the other testimony to be questionable
Martyna Z'muir: Objection!
Martyna Z'muir: Again calls for speculation.
Malag aste: I'm not asking for speculation
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Ye are askin' 'is opinion on th' testimony o' others...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: If I may suggest, ye may wish t' ask if anyone testified t' anythin' 'e knows t' be false?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Tis a lot about th' formation o' th' question, but as yer a recruited defense attorney,
Malag aste: Very well.... was any of the other information given false..... to the best of your knowledge?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: tis per'aps th' finer wranglin's...
Martyna Z'muir: *taps her nails quietly on the table*
Tomas Savos: Carina stated that I took no action against those who entered his home and read his journal
Tomas Savos: I did take action, albeit minor... I instructed the Volunteer guard to respect people's privacy
Malag aste: *nods*
Tomas Savos: Other than that, I do not believe any testimony was false
Tomas Savos: And I do not believe that was an intentional lie by Carina
Tomas Savos: Simply something he did not know
Malag aste: And the testimony by Mr Corosi?
Tomas Savos: He claimed the handwriting matched close enough to believe it was the same person
Tomas Savos: While I did not write those notes, the handwriting is very similar to my own
Malag aste: Corosi stated the handwritting in question was "shaky" as if done by somone who was
Malag aste: nervous...
Malag aste: And Mr Teruli stated that he thought you often appeared nervous...
Malag aste: Can you explain that?
Tomas Savos: I was given a position of power in a field where I had, and still have, limited knowledge
Tomas Savos: If I made a mistake, gave the wrong order... or gave it too late...
Tomas Savos: I could easily have brought harm to many innocent people
Tomas Savos: I think that would be enough to make anybody nervous
Malag aste: *nods*
Malag aste: Tomas.... had you ever met Imperus before the day he showed up at Blackthorns?
Tomas Savos: At Shame, and he wrote one letter to me before that
Tomas Savos: In the letter he claimed to have discovered a spell that he could use to kill hundreds
Tomas Savos: And said he would not use it if he could be defeated in battle, at Shame, by the day after
Tomas Savos: the Volunteer Royal Guard went with me into the dungeon, and thought to have slayed him
Malag aste: And when he showed up at Blackthorns what was your reaction?
Tomas Savos: I didn't know it was him, I thought it was just some childish mage polymorphed
Tomas Savos: Trying to scare people, and have a laugh or two
Tomas Savos: It was a bit startling the way he just popped up
Tomas Savos: And it made me want to know who the man was
Tomas Savos: But the whole situation quickly faded into my memory as other troubles kept showing up
Malag aste: At this time did you ever have any "suspisions" about the "King" Casca?
Tomas Savos: Not until the first Trial, no
Malag aste: Nothing further your HOnor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods and looks at Martyna*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady, yer witness...
Martyna Z'muir: *looks slightly confused, but nods*
Martyna Z'muir: Mister Savos, did you conspire to poison the farms in west Britain, or the orcs in the mine in

Yew?
Tomas Savos: No
Martyna Z'muir: And yet the tomes entered into evidence seem to indicate that you were deeply involved in the

plot...
Martyna Z'muir: Do you have an alibi for any of the outbreaks of poison?
Tomas Savos: For the first outbreak, in Britain, I was alone in the Lord British' library
Tomas Savos: For the outbreak in the Orc Mines, I do not know where I was, because I do not
Tomas Savos: know when that happened
Martyna Z'muir: Alone in a library.. While touching, that is unfortunate.
Tomas Savos: For the attempted poisoning in Skara Brae, I was coordinating scouts to intercept the poison
Martyna Z'muir: That was the act of orcs, was it not?
Tomas Savos: Yes
Martyna Z'muir: Orcs responding to the poison spread on their corpser patch...
Martyna Z'muir: The People conceed that you had no direct involvement in that particular incident. However, in the

larger scheme, it is part and parcel of the conspiracy.
Martyna Z'muir: Lord Casca hired you on as Captain of the Royal Guard... Do you know why?
Tomas Savos: I was recommended by one of the mages
Martyna Z'muir: One of the mages?
Tomas Savos: Yes... I never got his name
Tomas Savos: He heard of me by Francesco
Tomas Savos: How Lord Francesco heard of me, I do not know
Tomas Savos: Originally, the intent was Royal Historian
Martyna Z'muir: Interesting. You recieved an unsollicited recomendation by an anonymous mage?
Tomas Savos: Yes
Tomas Savos: The Royal Historian suggestion made sense to me
Tomas Savos: Safe to travel deep into dungeons without escort...
Martyna Z'muir: As you are a scribe by trade, not a warrior?
Tomas Savos: I can collect information rather easily.
Tomas Savos: Not particularly a scribe... more a student by trade
Martyna Z'muir: Aye, I have heard that you have moved from mentor to mentor quite a bit. Is there a reason for

this?
Martyna Z'muir: Are you running from something, Mister Savos?
Tomas Savos: I like learning new things, and learning slows if you stay under one teacher
Tomas Savos: Plus, low level apprenticeships are usually available for free, or nearly free
Tomas Savos: And I tend to hit a wall when trying to learn more advanced things
Martyna Z'muir: Hmm.
Martyna Z'muir: Would you be surprised to learn that in his own words, Casca wanted to "weaken the system by

replacing competence with mediocrity"? Do you believe yourself to be mediocre?
Tomas Savos: At being a Guard Commander? Yes
Tomas Savos: I am not a commander, and have no training to be one
Martyna Z'muir: And yet you accepted the position?
Martyna Z'muir: Is that logical, Mister Savos?
Tomas Savos: I wanted to be a royal historian, and I knew I was not to be in a position where
Tomas Savos: I was making hte final decision.
Tomas Savos: I was to always have many high ranking officials as aids, taking care of most of the work
Tomas Savos: For the time it remained that way, I was acceptable for the position
Tomas Savos: If any other came forward to take it, I would have stepped aside
Martyna Z'muir: You had the final decision on wether or not to accept.. Why take a position you neither wanted, nor

was qualified for?
Tomas Savos: Because the position would have been vacant otherwise, which would have been worse
Tomas Savos: And it came with a position I did want, and was qualified for
Martyna Z'muir: Double duty as a historian?
Tomas Savos: Yes
Martyna Z'muir: Hmmm. So you allowed yourself to be spread thin at a time of military need...
Martyna Z'muir: Altruisim aside, that seems to remain an odd personal choice....
Martyna Z'muir: Unless you wished to abuse your new position of power for your own gain?
Tomas Savos: I saw two options...
Tomas Savos: Accept the position, dig up as much forgotten lore as possible, and remind the
Tomas Savos: current high ranking officers while letting them make the actual decisions
Tomas Savos: Or reject it, and leave a complete lack of regular communication between those officers
Tomas Savos: While continuing to jump from mentor to mentor
Tomas Savos: Neither option was good
Martyna Z'muir: So you saw yourself as a figurehead?
Tomas Savos: Yes
Martyna Z'muir: I find it hard to believe that these 'high ranking' military officials would have been lost without

you..
Martyna Z'muir: However, given the contradictory nature of the Cascan Regime, it may well have been true...
Martyna Z'muir: Now, it is claimed that you have the ability to remove yourself from physical harm at will, an

enviable ability indeed... Why, pray tell, would you fear your new position if you were all but invulnerable to

harm? Would that not make you an
Martyna Z'muir: ideal soldier?
Tomas Savos: If I attack, I can be attacked back
Tomas Savos: And if I sit idle, not helping with knowledge, I see death of friends and innocents
Tomas Savos: Well... sometimes even with helping, I see death...
Tomas Savos: But less of it when I can offer aid
Martyna Z'muir: So you are not immortal, or immaterial?
Tomas Savos: No
Martyna Z'muir: Again, quite altruistic...
Martyna Z'muir: You stated that before Imperus Noxum appeared at Blackthorn's you had never met him, correct?
Tomas Savos: Formally met, no. Encountered, yes.
Tomas Savos: One letter, one battle in Shame, then the Blackthorn Castle incident
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
Martyna Z'muir: Very well..
Martyna Z'muir: Do you, or did you rather, know an Isaac Norwall?
Tomas Savos: No
Tomas Savos: I've never heard that name before tonight
Martyna Z'muir: Never crossed paths 'lumping from mentor to mentor'?
Tomas Savos: To the best of my knowledge, no
Martyna Z'muir: Interesting.
Martyna Z'muir: So a random...mage...singled you out amongst the Royal Guard - your 'rank' aside - for special

attention...
Martyna Z'muir: Do you have any notion as to why?
Tomas Savos: As I said before, Francesco heard of me somehow, and requested me
Tomas Savos: Presumably for the Royal Historian position only
Tomas Savos: The mage found me because of that, shortly after Francesco's death with the rest of the Council
Martyna Z'muir: Very well...
Tomas Savos: Recommended me to Casca, with the idea of Royal Guard Commander added on
Martyna Z'muir: Back to the notes... You claim they are not of your hand, and yet a document expert has testified

they bear a striking resemblence...
Martyna Z'muir: Albeit a nervous resemblence, to your own writings.
Martyna Z'muir: You only give us your own word that these documents are forgeries?
Tomas Savos: That is all I can possibly think to give
Tomas Savos: I was put under house arrest immediately after they turned up
Tomas Savos: So I have had no time to investigate
Tomas Savos: Nor contact with anyone to investigate who might have forged them
Martyna Z'muir: And we are supposed to blithely accept this?
Tomas Savos: You can blindly accept that they are forgeries, blindly accept that they are real...
Tomas Savos: Or treat them as an unknown
Tomas Savos: All I have available is my word that I did not write nor receive any of them
Tomas Savos: Except as evidence against me in trials
Martyna Z'muir: We have had expert testimony that they are in your hand, and no reasonable explanation or evidence

to support your claims.
Martyna Z'muir: Moving on to another document...
Martyna Z'muir: The farmer Carina claims you were sneen snooping about his farm and along the mountains to the

north. Can you explain this?
Tomas Savos: The first time I was in the area by myself I was checking on the Orc Camp
Tomas Savos: Making sure it was gone
Tomas Savos: During this trip, I lost a confidential document
Tomas Savos: A list of the new Royal Council
Tomas Savos: I returned four times attempting to relocate it, failing
Tomas Savos: It was eventually discovered, damaged thoroughly by mud
Martyna Z'muir: Why would you be carrying such a document into the woods? Especially in an area known to be

troublesome?
Tomas Savos: I had forgotten I was carrying it until later that night
Martyna Z'muir: Forgotten you were carrying it? Or trying to pass it on your your confederate whose bedroll was

found nearby?
Malag aste: Objection
Malag aste: I fail to see the relivance in all this
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I've been wonderin' that m'self...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady, we've travelled e'erywhere but t' th' fields 'e's accused o' poisonin'...
Martyna Z'muir: Mister Savos was transporting a confidential document, his words, to an area known to be a hotspot

for orcish activity and illicit activity.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'e's not on trial fer droppin' a document though.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Incompetence isnae a crime.
Malag aste: He also never claimed to be "right' for the job either
Martyna Z'muir: He is either lying, or commited deriliction of his duties.
Malag aste: He's not on trial for that
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Objection sustained... get back t' th' inquiry at 'and... th' accusation o' conspirin'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: t' poison th' fields o' Britannia, or wrap up...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'is entire career isnae on trial.
Martyna Z'muir: Activities which occured concurrently are suspect.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I believe I sustained th' objection...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Get back on track.
Martyna Z'muir: So you have no explanation for the document tying you to Imperus Noxum and the conspiracy to poison

the fields of western Britain...
Martyna Z'muir: No coroborated alibi for the time of the poisonings...
Martyna Z'muir: It is perplexing that a man versed in history can verify so little of his own recent life.
Malag aste: Objection
Martyna Z'muir: Nothing further.
Malag aste: Are you getting to some sort of a question
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Thank ye, m'lady.
Malag aste: or are you just giving statment
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *looks to Malag*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Do ye 'ave any rebuttal questions fer th' witness?
Malag aste: Nothing further your HOnor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Malag aste: The defense rests.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This Court thanks ye fer yer time, m'lord. Ye are excused.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Are ye prepared wi' yer closin' statement, m'lord Malag?
Malag aste: Aye
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Please proceed.
Malag aste: Your Honor
Malag aste: I believe I have proven that the testimony given in the previous trial is in question
Malag aste: Some of it having been given falsly
Malag aste: Makes one question all the witness's testimony.
Malag aste: Secondly Corosi himself said that it "could' have been forged
Malag aste: And that he had be wrong on more than one occasion
Malag aste: And it has been established that no one saw my client or witnessed him
Malag aste: conspiring with any orcs.
Malag aste: Or with Imperus....
Malag aste: Therefore I say my client is innocent.... as there is much doubt about all the evidence in the
Malag aste: trial previously
Malag aste: And I would say that it is entirely possible that Tomas is the victim of the Casca
Malag aste: Regime like many others
Malag aste: And appointed by Casca so that Casca could infact get away with more than he did
Malag aste: Because he felt that Tomas would be so incompetant
Malag aste: Since he obviously isn't quallified for the possition..... or wasn't
Malag aste: And when he did show some compitance
Malag aste: Casca needed to be rid of him.
Malag aste: As he tried to be rid of Magnus
Malag aste: And us....
Malag aste: So I hope you see that this evidence is infact full of question and doubt.
Malag aste: That is all your HOnor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Thank ye, m'lord...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *looks to Martyna*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady, are ye prepared wi' yer closin' statement?
Martyna Z'muir: Aye, your Honor.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Please proceed.
Martyna Z'muir: While there is little doubt that the Cascan Regime was a time of tragedy for not only the legal

system, but the Virtues themselves...
Martyna Z'muir: One cannot state that the entirity of the testimony given during a previous trial is cast negativly

due to one man's perjury.
Martyna Z'muir: One rotten apple does not spoil the bushel...
Martyna Z'muir: Granted, there were irregularities of the previous trial - and that is why we are here today. To

see Justice rendered Honestly.
Martyna Z'muir: The Defendant only has his word as his defense.
Martyna Z'muir: In a perfect world, that would be enough... The Truth will out.
Martyna Z'muir: Unfortunately, such a utopia is still beyond our grasp, and we are bound to the evidence collected

during the investigation.
Martyna Z'muir: Mister Savos has no explanation for the evidence against him, no alibi, and little credibility in

the position he was hired to perform.
Martyna Z'muir: We have heard expert testimony that the book on Casca's speech and the note written to the poisoner

was in the Defendant's hand.
Martyna Z'muir: Physical evidence alone places the poisoning at Mister Savos' feet. He is guilty of the acts for

which he has been accused.
Martyna Z'muir: Thank you, your Honor.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Thank ye, m'lady.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Given th' 'our at which we now stand, an in order t' render th' appropriate results so that
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'er Majesty, Lady Dawn, might make th' best informed decision, this Court shall stand in
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: recess until tomorrow eve at 8:00pm by th' Central Skies t' allow appropriate time t' review
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: t' Court Record an' render such a report.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Fear not if ye are unable t' return, for th' final result shall be rendered 'ere,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: passed along t' 'er Majesty, an' also forwarded t' th' public record via news sources.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This Court appreciates everyone's time an' dilligence this eve, but I am certain we are
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: all ver' much in need of a good night's rest at the moment.
Martyna Z'muir: *acches a brow, smirking*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *bangs gavel on bench*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: We shall recess until tomorrow eve.

The Verdict -

Magnus Grey: Hello all
Malag aste: Evening Magnus
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Good eve, m'lord.
Magnus Grey: Hello
Martyna Z'muir: Al tha..
Magnus Grey: *looks at his watch*
Magnus Grey: Scribes...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Should we wait a few moments fer more t' arrive?
Malag aste: Hum.... wonder where my client is..
Magnus Grey: *nods*
Malag aste: Well... considering the accused isn't here...
Martyna Z'muir: Perhaps he fears being found guilty...
Malag aste: Why he did nothing...
Martyna Z'muir: Then where is he?
Malag aste: I don't know... I wasn't hired to babysit.
Martyna Z'muir: Innocent men rarely run...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Now, now...
Malag aste: And who said he has run?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Let's maintain an air o' decorum whilst in this chamber, please.
Magnus Grey: *nods to the judge*
Magnus Grey: Sorry, I get impatient
Martyna Z'muir: He has either run, or is disrespecting the Court..
Malag aste: *taps his watch and looks at it frowning*
Magnus Grey: He's late, yes.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'e simply 'asnae arrived yet...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I think it premature t' presume 'e's decided t' run.
Martyna Z'muir: Such optimisim..
Magnus Grey: I'm here to report back to the Queen anyway.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'is presence or lack thereof willnae alter th' outcome, this is true...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I simply am uncertain whether t' expect 'im or nae, an' wish t' give 'im time t' arrive.
Magnus Grey: How about we wait a few more minutes? Maybe 8:10 by my watch.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods in agreement*
Magnus Grey: Until then, any news from the Kingdom?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I am t' understand there 'as been some barrier constructed in th' Underworld.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *chuckles to himself*
Martyna Z'muir: Finally...
Malag aste: Haven't seen it myself
Malag aste: but it's overdue in my opinion.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Elsewise, at least currently, leads on rescuin' th' Chancellor o' th' 'igh Council
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'ave trailed off some... I 'ope we are soon able t' resolve that situation.
Magnus Grey: He was taken by Casca loyalists right?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: A rogue faction o' th' Order o' th' Silver Serpents.
Martyna Z'muir: Hmm.. Aye.. Kahlein says Vasortylem is tired of hearing Miss Warner complain about it...
Magnus Grey: Problematic how many problems that traitor caused.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Aye, indeed...
Malag aste: Well I hope to find him.
Magnus Grey: If I hear anything, I will pass it on.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: An' yet we certainly 'ave a fresh road t' travel an' rebuild.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Most appreciated.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Nae 'ard t' do when ye remove all who might speak against ye doin' so.
Martyna Z'muir: Third?
Martyna Z'muir: Ah..
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady Dawn I believe 'e speaks o' as th' third.
Martyna Z'muir: *nods*
Magnus Grey: I don't think the wounds won't heal. We are a skilled people at rebuilding and reorganizing
Magnus Grey: Judge Fl'Gith, I don't want the Crown's business to keep you all another night.
Malag aste: I keep hoping that we can begin rebuilding Magincia soon.
Magnus Grey: So we should probably start.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*

Lars: All rise, the Honorable Ra'Dian Fl'Gith presiding.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This Court now stands in session... please be seated.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: As Tomas Savos isnae present this eve, I will be sure t' release th' rulin' t' th'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: presses as swiftly as possible at the conclusion o' this trial that word may travel.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I am aware o' thoughts regardin' 'is lack o' presence this eve, but move forth we must.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *opens a tome and places it before himself*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: It comes before this Court a matter o' lookin' into past evidence t' determine th' guilt or
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: innocence o' Tomas Savos, Commander o' th' Royal Guard, for purpose o' adequately advisin'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'er Majesty, Lady Dawn, for purposes o' determinin' 'ow Britannia shall view th' actions o'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Savos 'ere in the days that follow th' Cascan regime. So then must actions an' events o' that
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: era be brought t' light in order t' best determine both th' probability o' Savos' involvement in

a
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: conspiracy t' poison Britannian crops, as well as th' likelihood that Savos was a

willin'participant
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: in th' events that unfolded around 'im.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This case, sadly, comes down t' one single key set o' evidence: writin's purported t' be those o'

one
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Tomas Savos. Th' Court is presented wi' one tome which Savos 'imself admits t' 'avin' written,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: an' a number o' notes that Savos denies 'avin' written. Gregor Corosi, a noted scholoar at th'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Lycaeum, 'as testified that in all likeli'ood th' notes are, indeed, in th' 'and o' Savos, 'owever,

'e
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'as acknowledged a potential -- if only small -- that these notes are forgeries.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: All other testimony, in th' view o' this Court, serves only as indication that indeed Savos was
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: seen in th' Britannian farms and that indeed knew an' encoutered Imperus Noxum. 'owe'er, in

light
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: o' no damning evidence in this area, th' Court sees no solid ground t' believe that Savos was

in
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: league wi' either Imperus Noxum or th' orcs near Yew. Save, of course, for th' notes that
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: indicate someone else was actin' in th' purported role o' that same Imperus Noxum.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *takes a brief breath*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Th' only additional testimony given surrounds th' capability an' competence o' Tomas Savos t'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: serve as Commander o' th' Royal Guard, a position that 'e, 'imself, admits that 'e was likely
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: unfit for, but which presented th' unique opportunity t' work in tandem as Royal 'istorian.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: It is this final area o' testimony that, in th' opinion o' this Court, gives key t' determinin'

th'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: potential guilt or innocence o' th' alleged activities in this Inquiry. This Court, durin'

recess,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: took time t' locate an' review transcribed proceedin's that were broadcast secretly durin' th'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: original trial o' Tomas Savos under th' jurisprudence o' Justice Verina, for it is at this very
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: trial that interestin' events occurred.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: First, it is true that th' foundation o' much o' the case in Verina's purview was based on what
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: is now known t' be bought testimony on th' part o' one Carina who was paid t' testify about a
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: young boy who was injured by an orcish assailant. What is as important as this perjured
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: testimony is th' accusation as t' who purchased th' testimony, for it is now Carina's testimony
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: that Casca 'imself paid a sum o' five thousand gold for th' testimony.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Further, as many who were able t' attend th' private broadcast o' th' proceedin's are aware,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: th' communication crystal broadcastin' from Verina's court malfunctioned fer a short period

which
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: was later revealed t' be a period in which Casca 'imself testified at th' trial o' Tomas Savos.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: What is curious about this is that it is considered very irregular fer th' sittin' ruler t'

attend,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: much less testify, at such a trial, but further, that some magical force was present durin'

Casca's
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: testimony is also of interest.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Thus this Court is led directly t' th' involvement o' Casca an' th' Shadowlords in th' recent
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: events affectin' Britannia an' 'er peoples. This Court 'as but notes which may or may nae 'ave
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: been forged. It is clearly difficult t' th' minds o' t' grasp the concept that th' ruler they

are
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: sworn t' serve in th' name o' Britannia would go t' great lengths t' incriminate others t'

serve
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'is own ends, an' yet, recent 'istory is replete wi' examples o' Cascan treachery an' deceit in

th'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: name o' th' Shadowlords. It then stands as a very real an' true possibility that Casca 'imself
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: is at th' 'eart o' these shameful acts an' used Savos as 'is scapegoat. We know through
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: testimony that Savos 'imself was surprised by th' promotion t' Commander o' th' Royal Guard,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: an' we also know that Casca 'imself appointed Savos an' others t' their positions t' weaken
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Britannia 'erself. Thus it is nae beyond th' realm o' belief that such could occur.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: In th' end, this Court is faced wi' determinin' guilt or innocence by weight o' each potential
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: scenario, th' weight o' each increased or decreased by th' testimony given at this Inquiry an'

at
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: th' original Trial o' Tomas Savos. Per'aps, indeed, Savos is duplicitous an' worked willin'ly

wi'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Casca or another party t' poison Britannian crops, but its so ver' difficult t' take anythin' o'

that
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: era at face value. Therefore it becomes a quesiton o' faith in th' character o' Tomas Savos.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Is 'e th' kind o' man who would willin'ly deceive others fer th' sake o' gainin' power or

knowledge?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: To this end it is raised that Savos appears t' be a man on an eternal quest fer knowledge,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: but who possesses an inate ability t' stay out o' 'arms way. Is this th' sort o' man who would
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: find it necessary t' abuse power fer some unidentified gain?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Per'aps th' true answer t' this we shall ne'er know. 'owe'er this Court finds that of all th
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: th' testimony presented, th' one question ne'er answered is that o', "Why?"
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Why would Tomas Savos commit these acts? What would be gained?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Therefore, this Court finds Tomas Savos nae guilty o' conspiracy t' poison Britannian crops.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: As t' th' question o' Savos' fitness fer continued duty w' th' Royal Guard o' Britannia,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: that decision is one fer minds wi' wisdom greater than ours, but we 'ope that th' details
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: provided in this Inquiry shall 'elp t' be a guidin' force in any such decisions.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This Court acknowledges that per'aps th' full truth will ne'er be known, an' as such, we must go

on
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: what information we 'ave. In these days followin' th' evil o' th' Cascan reign, those who may
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: yet believe Savos t' be guilty will clearly watch 'is future actions wi' scrutiny; this Court
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: believes in 'is innocence, an' prays 'is future Virtue will show this Court's face well placed.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: So it is written in this first year o' our Queen, Lady Dawn, durin' th' 445th year o'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: our Lord British.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This Court now stands adjourned.

Malag aste: Bel'la Dos Ra'Dian
Malag aste: Once again your wisdom is inspiring
Magnus Grey: I will have a messenger find him.
Galen: His career's likely over either way.....
Magnus Grey: Thank you, Judge Fl'Gith
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Thank ye all ag'in fer yer efforts in this matter.
