The Test

November 21st, 2009:
Since Tomas Savos had been removed as Captain of the Royal Guard, the Crown wanted to ensure that the V.R.G could still be a cohesive unit tasked with protecting the Kingdom. The royal trainers devised a series of tests to determine fighting prowess, and ability to think critically in the field.

The V.R.G. members were tasked with finding clues to a fictional attack on the corpses of elementals they were sent to kill neat the mountain training hall. Despite the interference of Imperus Noxum, the guards managed to collect three of the four books needed (Book 1.2 was never recovered). The guards were then asked to formulate a plan for determining where the attack had started.

1.1, by Royal Trainers

1.2, by Royal Trainers

1.3, by Royal Trainers

1.4, by Royal Trainers

The guards were then asked to formulate a plan for determining where the attack had started. Using the clues of "sand, salt water, and cactus thorns" it was narrowed down to be a sea-adjacent desert. Martyna Z'muir was the first to conclude that it must be the Isle of Nujel'm, however, Lars Torelli the Royal Trainer proceeded to argue with her about the location saying that there was no proof and that the V.R.G. could not work together as a group.

The situation deteriorated rapidly as the trainer continued to argue with Martyna and Justicar Ra'Dian Fl'Gith, even after revealing the contents of book 1.2 which firmly referenced the Prism of Light. Many V.R.G. walked away in disgust during this confrontation due to the sense they were being insulted by the trainer.
