Klickitat the Squirrel

A squirrel friend of Zox Greatsnapper the goblin named Klickitat had gone missing. Zox had sent out a notice asking that Sosarians help find her friend.

The search started at the Counselor’s Hall in Britain where Grugzun the orc directed searchers to the zoo in Moonglow when bribed with cider. He said Artemis the Zookeeper should know more.

Artemis, also known as the Golden Hind, said that Klickitat was looking for a new nest because he had given his to a skree refugee. She had sent the squirrel to Yew to talk to Nylwyn the elf.

Sadly, Nylwyn had been accidentally slain by Lars the guard. The distraught guard said that Nylwyn had given Klickitat peaches before her death and then he strangely babbled about a bridge over a stream in Zento.

Following the odd clue, people found Persephone on the bridge. She had given the squirrel cherries before sending him to the savages in Ilshenar for acorns. She said their Queen, Hipolati, could be usually be found at the gargoyle Temple of the Virtues.

At the Temple, a note left by Hipolati said she sent Klickitat to a fairy by the Termir Ilshen lake.

Princess Nissa of the Ilshenar fey frequented the Twin Oaks Tavern on the edge of the lake. She had been playing games with the squirrel and had shown him a special place to for a new nest.

A secret teleporter let to an idyllic little valley full of serene trees and wildflowers. There a special statue had been erected which would bestow a springtime Easter Basket on the lucky traveler.
