July 2010 - Colors, colors, colors!
Michael of Moonglow, a renowned blackrock researcher, had created a black powder compound which produced yellow sparks. He wanted help gathering materials which would alter the spark hue and give his powder more versatility.
The first thing he requested was copper ore, as it could give his compound a blue spark.
Next, he asked those who would help to go to the ruined library in Old Haven and find out what would make white sparks. This turned out to be magnesium.

Orange was now the color Michael wanted to create. He said Princess Nissa of the Ilshenar Fey could help, and that she could be found at the Twin Oaks Tavern.
Princess Nissa, who had changed her name for the umpteenth time to ‘Freedom Liberty Amber Waves Pond,’ said that Michael needed milk. Calcium would create the orange he was after.
With his color pallet complete, Michael sent his new compound to Sylvia of the Saw Horse in Britain who would carve staffs to shoot sparks.
Sylvia had already carved the staffs and placed them in the East Britain Park where they could be used safely.
