Bio:
Uskadesh was Queen Zhah's Minister of War.
He first came to Britannia's attention when he managed the quest to become Ter Mur's "Warden of the Abyss," the equivalent to Britannia's "Ranger of the Abyss." He was one of the greatest warriors of Ter Mur, a great hero among them, and it may be presumed that this led to his rise to the exalted position of Minister of War (or at least that it was helpful to that rise).
However, in many warriors, especially heroes, there is a dark side. It is impossible to kill for a living or a calling without having one. Most warriors can keep it at bay, but not all.
Uskadesh couldn't. His downfall, ultimately were the Sins of Pride and Despise. He did not understand, or forgot at some point, that he was not the ruler of the gargoyles, but Zhah was. He began to question her decisions, especially when it came to the close alliance between Ter Mur and Britannia. He singled out humans for his Despise, forgetting that a great many elves of various sorts also make Britannia their home. He blamed all humans for the assaults of the Brothers of Valor. Eventually, one may imagine it was primarily his Pride that led to this, he succumbed to the whisperings of the vile demon lord Virtuebane, and betrayed his Queen and his people.
Virtuebane, however, worships all the Sins, including Deceit. Predictably, Virtuebane deceived Uskadesh, beetraying and killing him after his usefulness ran dry.
