Bio:
The Nightmare Shaper was a torture whose primary instrument of torment was the mind of its victim.

It served Casca, as a result of a deal made between Casca and the Demon Conclave, through the demon librarian Bartholomew. It lived and worked in one of Casca's secret prisons, surviving, feeding, off of the torment of its victims.

It was slain by the Royal Spies during a raid on one of the secret prisons, wherein the spies sought to, and did, rescue the Royal Spymaster, Magnus Grey.

Though the Shaper was slain, sadly it was of course not the only means the demons had of causing nightmares.
