Bio:
Nether was a high-ranking member of the Hythloth Conclave, a group of various affiliated demonkind based, known as the Demon Conclave in the Dungeon Hythloth. He was referred to in ancient demonic texts as "The General of Nightmares."
He was the more subtle, sneaky counterpart to Buldur. His were the means of subversion, temptation, and persuasion. Like the classical demons of hallowed antiquity's mythology, he would work with reason or its absence, whichever will promote the most evil in any given occasion. He was spotted in the Void Shadow Dungeon, negotiating with other evil forces; in Nujel'M, causing terror; in the Dungeon Hythloth; in the City of Britain; at the Yew Moongate in Felucca; and other locations. Forces known to work directly for him are often seen far and wide.
He often menaced the Royal Spies of Security Minister Magnus Grey. He was finally captured by Thanatos Angelos, a Royal Spy with the guild Legacy of the Fallen, in the Fire Dungeon. He was taken to the Moonglow Zoo, which of all locations seemed the best able to contain his magical powers.
He found a way around the magic of the Zoo, however, and began to terrorize and torment the citizens of Moonglow through their dreams. Scholars at the Lycaeum (including Harriet the Scribe and Michael of Moonglow), however, were with the assistance of the Royal Spies find a way through the nightmares to defeat him.
Nether had found a way to escape the Zoo physically as well, and he had retreated to the "bubble" of Moonglow that existed in the Ethereal Void. Nether had taken great pains throughout his many encounters with the champions of light to not engage them physically, he preferred to work through others. In the Moonglow bubble, however, his luck finally ran out. After his guardians were defeated, he was engaged in physical combat, and slain.
It must be said that Nether's plots, though often thwarted to some degree, were rarely a total failure. He usually seemed to get at least some of what he wanted.
Right up until his being killed.
