Bio:
Iakas is a renowned zoologist who works and teaches at the Royal Britannian Academy of Science. He came to a kind of prominence through his research on a massive appearance of acid slimes during late 2008. He stumbled upon a potentially lucrative commercial application stemming from the slimes' appearance. Specifically, he noted that a coloring agent can be derived from the slimes to act as a pigment for some articles of clothing, armor and weapons. His field assistant, known as Lyla the Researcher, was charged by him with procuring slime samples.
Iakas, though a comparatively young academic, was already looking forward to "emeritus" (retired) status, but had many years to go. Indeed, at the time he came to prominence he had not yet earned tenure, and hoped that his slime research and the commercial applications from that would help.
It is not known if he ever got tenure or not.
