Bio:
Hercules is a would-be adventurer and would-be hero. He is, however, a rather stupid, drunken, lazy, inefficient soul, and takes all character traits to such an extreme that they border malice....And, sometimes, crosses over that border. Indeed, from what little we know of his exploits so far, in many of his adventures, intelligence was notably absent. As was thoroughness and any kind of decency. About the only "heroic" character trait he has displayed is an enormous about of raw physical strength, in some cases bordering on that possessed by a titan or some kind of divine presence. He is able to slay fearsome beasts with his bare hands or with an unexceptional, crude club. (Any mage skilled in the art of wrestling for defense purposes can testify as to how little actual damage ones hands can usually do against the savage creatures of our realm. Even the Ninja of Tokuno typically find it prudent to learn how to fight with weapons, as rarely does one face a mortal foe who is not himself quite well-armed.)

Hercules's strength suggests he may not only be of human origin.

However, his many negative character traits, as described above, more than compensate for his strength, and have led to his heroic deeds being closer to criminal in nature than heroic.

For example, when he "persuaded" Artemis, the Zookeeper of the Moonglow Zoo, to give a prized rare stag to Delucia, he had in fact kidnapped Artemis who had taken the form of the stag. (Notes of his found long afterwards indicated that he just didn't understand why the stag was talking to him in ahuman voice.) As another example, he slew a rare, large ant lion on the pretext that it had been terrorizing Compassion Village (the gypsy encampment found when you follow the mountains south, then west from the Shrine of Compassion in Ilshenar). However, as it turns out the Ant Lion was the protector of the Village, helping to ensure its survival despite being caught between Ratman Territory and the Gargoyle Pass. Also, he cleaned the stables of Trinsic by altering the course of the rivers. This alteration, however, caused such an amount of waste to be deposited at the "wrong" point of the river that the sea creatures mutated and attacked Trinsic; fortunately the Royal Guard was on the scene before any of the townsfolk died or any significant damage was done.

In fairness, Hercules did legitimately slay the Stygian Hydra, a fearsome beast. However, Hercules left behind the beast's immortal head, thus ensuring that sooner or later it would regrow and resume its legacy of evil. (It took the Britannian Royal Guard to properly finish the job.)

He was to be Knighted by Queen Dawn for his exploits, but then his being a fraud was exposed by the Royal Spies (Her Majesty's Secret Service) and the Volunteer Royal Guard, as well as several amassed citizens who came expecting a formal banquet and were rather annoyed, justly, at the turn of events.

For his frauds, and for the kidnapping of Artemis, and for his behavior when he was exposed, Hercules was locked up in jail by Royal Guard Commander Christine Keel. He escaped with a couple of weeks, however, by bribing some of the Yew Jail guards with alcohol, and continued his vile exploits in Tokuno and Ilshenar.

It took a few months of trying but he was eventually captured by the Royal Guard. It was also discovered that strange magics working on him had magnified his natural lack of intelligence and aggression, and thus arguably he was only half responsible for his misdeeds. His whereabouts, and ultimate fate, are not known.
