Dear people I can't
remember the names of:
If you are reading this letter, it means I am dead. I doubt I left this world with much grace and dignity since I didn't have much of either during my long life. So it goes.
I won't waste time with platitudes about you needing to pick up the torch, but I'd really hate to go out with a failure on my record. The idea makes me sour. Because of this, I am writing this letter.
I know what the Royal Spies do is important.
We don't ignore problems like everyone else. If the spymaster is compromised, things will fall apart. Magnus Grey was compromised, and something needed to be done.
Magnus Grey is a sentimental fool. For a spy at least. I knew if he was still in there somewhere, he'd go running out to save Cordelia Corrigan out of some obligation to his brother's ghost. He did.
I also know I am a sentimental fool. I wasn't always careful during missions, and sometimes, good people paid the price. Magnus and his brother are on that list. I am sorry about that.
Here are my final notes on Amir Mirza:

III. To get into the dungeon of the house, find a golden Cat O' Nine Tails mounted on a wall. It is the switch to a secret passage to the dungeon.
IV. Recover Magnus and kill Mirza. Yes, kill. No arrest with the eventual chance of revenge.
V. Magnus will be injured. Take him to heal with some Fellowship water, but do not go to the village of Dawn. They recently set up a fountain of the stuff in Papua. We don't want anyone seeing what you are doing.
VI. Use the water to share a vision with Magnus like you did with the blind girl Molly. Make sure you have yourself protected. Kavita will help with that.
VII. Save your sentimental fool from himself.
