Dear Holt,

I hope this letter finds you well. I write to temporarily order you back to service. We have a possible doppelganger situation. The current head of the Royal Spies, Magnus Grey, was injured recently and only survived due to questionable magic from an untrusted source. I have reason to suspect that he has been compromised, but I am not in a position to investigate or solve this problem myself. Because of your reputation and history with Magnus, I am entrusting you with this task and giving you permission to take whatever means you consider necessary.

Be careful. Our current crop of spies are competent and clever. You may want to bring your watch to prove your identity. Good luck.
