Title: Bedtime Story - Volume 2, Part 1

Author: Basil Stag Hare

A stranger watched from the shadows as a figure strolled past making his way towards the local tavern. The figure had a grin that could charm any lady, maybe that explained how he was strolling while flipping a coin. The stranger looked at the picture he had and nodded. Basil would get what was coming to him.

Basil entered the local tavern in Magicina while the stranger remained in the shadows. Surely Basil would not be in there for long. The stranger grew distraught as singing rose from the tavern, "Nero don't lose that number.. You don't want to comm cystal anyone else. Send it off on a pigeon to yourself.. Nero don't lose that number, its the only one you want, you might use it if you feel better, when you get home.."

The stranger was about to cry as this went on into the night. Just when he was about to fall asleep he saw people slowly streaming from the tavern. Basil was one of them, easy to make out with his stroll. The stranger slowly stepped out of the shadows and followed Basil. It was obvious he was heading for the Museum. The stranger had to think fast, would the contractor want him after he had studied or before?

The stranger pulled out his wooden club and charged at Basil. Basil only got a glimpse before the lights went out. The stranger looked around his surroundings and saw no witnesses. He began to drag Basil off toward where the contractor would want him...

Basil awoke with a man standing over him grinning from ear to ear, "Youz got a headache, zah?" The man was in a tightly trim uniform. Black thigh high boots were his choice of footwear, the hat was one of a professional nature, and the eyepiece he wore suggested he thought himself to be of a more educated breed. He studied Basil with a wicked pleasure, "Youz will help da master race, yes?" Master race, huh? Basil's mind was swimming. Who was this guy and why did he want him. "If youz refuze to help die master race und retrieve zomething for us, den I will have to do zomething not very nice."

Basil looked up at the man, "You want me to help you yet you hold me like a prisoner?" The man nodded. Disgusted, Basil spit onto the man's face.

The man slowly removed his eye piece and wiped it with a piece of of cloth, "That waz not die smartest thing to do mizter Basil." The man reared back and punched Basil in the face several times. The chair Basil was in fell back and the man proceeded to kick Basil with the heel of his boot, "I TEACH YOU TO FEAR DIE MASTER RACE YOU IGNORANT FOOL! YOU WILL DO AZ I SAY!"

A hand rested on the man's shoulder and he proceeded to stop kicking Basil. "Tsk Tsk Ku, you should not let you anger drive you so." Basil squinted up and saw a man step from the shadows wagging the finger on his other hand. Basil stared in horror as he recognized the man, "Boromir, you are alive! How the.."

Boromir smiled at Basil with a twinkle in his eye. "Very much alive I am afraid. I see that you have met my new acquaitence Ku Kullin. Forgive him, his temper tends to rage sometimes." This was too much for Basil, the world started spinning and all he could see was Boromir and Ku Kullin, then the world went black...
