Entry 98
Was it with good or bad luck, I am not sure, but the candle was recovered from the thief that stole it. He had hoped to gain some control over us by having it and when he found it was useless without the wall pieces he gave way to error and bargained poorly. Samuel and his family have promised to take the candle to the oasis and leave behind some guardians. I have left it to them to deal with.

Entry 101
There have been a rash of undead uprisings of late. I mention this only because one apprentice claims that Larcalin was leading them. I find this unlikely that such a good man would turn to necromancy. My brothers are wary, though, and I agree with some of their precautions. I have checked on the location of the cryatsl and it blends in well enough that I have no fear of it being found anytime soon. There are monsters a pleanty to dissuade any random adventurers.

Entry 115
I have seen him with my own eyes. I still cannot believe the truth I have seen. Larcalin looked haggard, gaunt, his eyes sunken in, his hair missing in patches. It must have been a trick of the light, but I would have sworn that his eyes glowed green. this dusturbs me greatly. Would that I could investigate more. but I was wounded while we fought off the undead. The healers fear there is poison in the wound. I have done what I can to keep the crystal safe. It seems clear now that it has a power to warp if not used properly. Larcalin demanded it from me and I only laughed. I would not make the same mistake twice. the location of the crystal will be lost with my death as I have ordered the walls destroyed. I only pray that my wishes are heeded in this matter, for there are those that wish to study the crystal 'safely'.
