3rd of Winter

We have been sent to the hopeful little town that is trying to build itself up on the main land east of Skara Brae. Rumors of brigand attacks and wild beast sightings have yet to be comfirmed.


1Oth of Winter

The rumors are true. Bands of brigands have settled in the area and have managed to kill off or chase off most of the settlers. One young woman refuses to leave the town, sitting near the hastily dug graves we have put in for those that have fallen. I fear if she cannot shake her shroud of mourning that she will join her husband in the afterlife sooner rather than later.

15th of Winter

We have managed to move all the settlers either to Britain or northwards to Yew. The young woman, Roberta by name, has fallen ill and a wandering healer is tending her in the one permanent structure for the village. We have lost a score of men in our attempts to secure the area and then in the subsequent evacuation. The heavy snows both help and hinder us. We pack up and leave on the morrow.

17th of Winter

We are entrenched at the farm house. Brigands by day and now daemons by night have prevented the handful of men that I have left from fleeing the area. I have sent a messanger pigeon to Britain in hopes of relief, but things look grim. On a side note, the young woman, Roberta passed on early this morning. We buried her just out back of the building. Her last words were of someone named Locke and wishing to be by his side. I can only believe that to be her husband. A pity we did not know which grave was his.


2Oth of Winter

Help has arrived, but so has trouble. A squad has managed to chase the brigands that were camped here to the north, but the daemon attacks continue. We dread the coming of night and hope to be gone before another sunset passes. It is almost as if there is a curse on this area.

21st of Winter

We are headed out. The attacks from last night have continued in to the day. This has never happened before. We are splitting into groups of 5 in the hopes that some of us will make it out alive. Even now I hear th...
