Galen for the Legacy of the Fallen:
Once upon a time, this realm knew only Lord British. He was a great ruler and he gave us the Virtues, which continue, today, to guide us. But, he was never one of us, and he, eventually, left us.
In his absence, we were ruled by the Royal Council, and regulated by the High Council. And this system was, for a great while, completely adequate.
However, our world is dangerous, and our Virtue and prosperity make us a tempting target for evil. And, when the times came that tried men's souls, we were reminded of the need for strength, and leadership. The need for our best to guide us through the breach, to command our swords, to ease our tired souls. And there came Casca. He was one of us. But, he was our worst, not our best. He had our selfishness, our ambition, our lust for power, our tendency to both simplify and corrupt Lord British's complex, pure legacy: The Virtues.
And this was the history of Britannian Leadership. One man who was not one of us, another who was one of our worst. But, then, when we needed you most, my Queen, you came to us. You were forged in great deeds of long ago, then were tempered by the complexities of marriage and everyday life. Then, you returned for deeds yet greater.
We know you will not leave us intentionally, because you didn't come to us at all until you were most needed and felt you were ready. You are one of us, to lead us. A leader by ability, rather than ambition.
Long may you reign, Queen Dawn.
Gem for the Fishing
Council of Britannia
(FCB):
The fisher-folk of the Fishing Council of Britannia (FCB) wish to pledge our support and allegiance to our new queen.
We know that many of you do not always welcome sea-farers as we do not bathe as often as
you may think necessary,
and we are fond of tales, and we have an overwhelming fondness for rum. A few of our number have been known to engage in acts land-lubbers may consider discourteous. Please know we consider a loud belch after a good meal to be a sign of respect for the skills of the cook! Sometimes, a Feluccan pirate may have crossed your path...if so, let me apologize on behalf of my cousins.
For the most part, we are some of Britain's most loyal citizens. Almost since the Shattering, we have patroled the seas, kept the populace fed with fresh fish, and entertained with Net Tosses and such. Without our efforts, you would not have white pearls or sea horses or ghost ship anchors. (Although we know you may not appreciate the vast supplies of sodden used footwear....)
On behalf of my kind, we salute Queen Dawn and pledge our loyalty and support.
Lore Denin for the Town
of Whispering Winds, The
Order, The Wolf Riders
Alliance, and the True
Britannians:
Queen Dawn, Citizens of Britannia. I am honored that you have allowed me to speak today...
Many years ago, when Britannia was young, Lord British, the King of the land opened the first facet gate to Trammel and led his people to the new land where they could live free from the evil hordes of Minax, and vile murders that plagued the old kingdom. Although he led his people to a new land, the King did not abandon the old realm as some claim but left in his stead his greatest general, Lord Dupre, to form the True Britannian Army. The True Britannians were charged with stemming the tide of evil and restoring law and order in the Fellucan Realm.
Years have passed, Lord British has departed the Realm but the True Britannians remain and continue their battle against the armies of darkness that plot to engulf the embattled facet.
We stand together at the dawn of a new age, an age of light, an age of hope.
True Britannians!! Join me so that we may stand together and renew our pledge of fealty and service to Britannia on the momentous occasion of the coronation of Lady Dawn, First Queen of Britannia.
Queen Dawn, We humbly kneel before you with all of Britannia as our witness and offer to you all that we are.... Our hearts... Our bodies... Our spirit!
We solemnly swear to tirelessly serve Britannia as defenders of the realm, and stalwart protectors of its people. We vow to uphold the Laws of Britannia and we pledge our fealty to you as our Queen and Sovereign.
“For Britannia, Virtue and Queen Dawn! Long may she Reign!!”
Ra’Dian Fl’Gith for the
High Council:
Since our Lord British departed from these lands, we Britannians have held steadfast and strong to the Virtues that are, above all else, his true legacy to we the peoples of Britannia. We have endured these many years since last he roamed our Kingdom, united for the common good, and staving off the darkness as best we could. Recent days brought to us an evil like none we have seen since the vile Mondain himself, an evil that sought to bind our will, our soul, our very essence through the magics that first split assunder our Sosaria. The Shadowlords and the false Lord Casca brought such darkness to Britannia, and yet, as evil by good, chaos by order, darkness shall always be vanquished by light. From the darkness emerged a beacon, a voice calling out above the cacophony of evil, a strong will that sought to save Britannia and her peoples. It is only right and proper then that we stand behind such a symbol of hope, to extinguish fully the shadow that crept over our land, and to finally call to the throne a leader worthy to assume the heritage of Britannia. So now do we of the High Council of Britannia stand united behind that voice as the new leader of Britannia to usher in an era of peace, prosperity, and Virtue. So say we, "Long live Queen Dawn!"
Oath of Office by Martyna Z’muir:
Martyna Z’muir: Do you, Dawn of Yew, solemnly promise to justly govern and defend the Peoples of the Kingdom of Britannia and its territories as Queen?
Dawn: I do so solemnly promise.
Martyna Z’muir: As Queen, will you to the utmost of your power uphold the Virtues as set forth by Lord British with Truth, Love, and Courage?
Dawn: I shall.
Martyna Z’muir: Will you be the guiding light of Order through the Chaos, striving for Balance in all things?
Dawn: I shall.
Martyna Z’muir: All hail Queen Dawn!
