Title: A Dictator's Life

Author: Dictator Borne

I have a child of Lorca Batan, but the battles of my life began in the Crogus mountains. While the constant skirmishes against Fyrna were difficult, I was able to make a name for myself and earn my place as a war leader.

Neither side would have ever managed to strike at the heart of the other if not for the Voogd. I will admit that I was skeptical when our shamans told of a power that could win the long struggle. While I do not worship the Red Idol, I do appreciate the power of this otherworldly being. The bloody magics we were given broke the stalemate of the war, and Tarna's human kingdoms were divided between the goblin dictators.

I do not believe this is the start of an age of prosperity for goblin-kin. Our shamans grow increasingly erratic, and the servant of the Red Idol comes with demands of tribute. I have spoken with a servant of the Voogd, a woman named Mors Gotha. She will not tell me the true name of the being she serves; I wonder if even she knows it. She refers to this power as her master and guardian, a father who is both benevolent and malevolent to his children. I serve this power not out of loyalty or love, but out of fear. If we can keep this being's wrath at bay with some fraznium, it will be done.

I do not know what to think of these other offworlders. They come from a world where humanity has dominated the other peoples. Freemis believes they come with plans to dominate all goblin-kin, but I do not believe that is why they are here. Still, their actions break free those who resist our rule, and if they undermine us, the Voogd may make us all suffer. I fight them for the survival and dominance of my people.
