Of Darkness and Light

As I sit here and
ponder, I am
confronted... by
meself, by her, by
him. I see my place
now, as she has
unlocked my past for
me, and given me back
parts that I had
forgotten, Or had
never known of. But
should I be grateful,
or fearful... I am left
open, more vulnerable
to the world, for now I
have more to lose than
ever before.
Perhaps this is confusing... it is to me. Or perhaps you despise me, for being of the dark... then you do not understand. The dark is not evil, the dark is pain... loss. And the light is not good, light is happiness... hope. She is torn between darkness and light... that is what is said of her. And I fear that it is true. And if she cannot decide, then I will. She deserves one that can protect her... one that is unbound... and I am neither.
What protection is a man that battles but with words, though he would be willing to die for her? If only to see her safe, I would relinquish any claim upon her... though it would pain me so... Alas, I fear that I have written long, and perhaps bored thee, so I shall finish now. Just a thought, that I once heard:
- "Sometimes the darkness finds a cause, and the light created is blinding...
- when such happens, who is truly the light... and who the dark..."
