Title: A Spell for Ricardo Author:


To be cast by a multitude, led by one of strong will. It should be cast at a high point, in a place where much blood has been spilled.


THE PREPARATIONS

Assemble:

  • four candles (purple,yellow, orange, and red)
  • a candelabra with three black candles
  • a cracked hazelnut
  • a heliotrope seed
  • a henbane seed
  • a corrupted tamarisktree
  • a sprig of rosemary
  • a feather torn from a creature of pure good
  • thyme
  • blood of slain righteous warriors
  • mirort skitas

Spell ingredients should be set up ahead of time, so as not to have to trust other casters with anything valuable or complicated.

Dress all seven candles with mirort skitas. Set the large candles at the four compass points. Starting with north, the colors are: purple, yellow, orange, and red. Place the candelabra in the middle of the circle. Arrange the cracked hazelnut, heliotrope seed, and henbane seed around the candelabra. Arrange the corrupted tamarisk tree, sprig of rosemary, and thyme around the seeds. The feather should be taken from the captive sacrifice at the last possible moment.


THE SACRIFICE

During this entire ritual, all those present should keep an image of the capture and binding of the target foremost in their thoughts. The casters stand in a circle around the candles. The leader shall stand northmost.

In a strong voice, to demonstrate his or her power, the leader shall say:

Leader: One of our own hides from us.
Leader: We seek to bend him to our will and force him to make himself seen.
Leader: We summon spirits of evil with the blood of a slain common enemy, righteous crusaders.

The leader pours the blood around the candelabra.

Leader: We sacrifice a creature of pure good.

A pure creature should now be brought forth and slain by the crowd.

Leader: Now With unclean hands we seek a master thief.
Leader: We demand that no force of good keep us asunder from one of our own.


FOLLOWING THE FIRE

If the spell works, the candelabra should now reveal the location of the one sought.

The leader shall pick up the candelabra and go towards the target.
