Gwino is a fictional character, part of a play of sorts put on to commemorate the anniversary of Mondain's defeat at the hands of the Stranger/Avatar. The fictional character Gwino was a jester, who in exchange for answers to ridiculous, comical riddles would grant vital information.
The actor portraying Gwino was extremely convincing.
