Dawn of Hope

PD-LadyDawn.jpg
Lady Dawn gained fame during the Jukan invasions, later landing the killing blow on the half-machine Lord Blackthorn. She served on the Royal Knights for a time, and was the leading candidate to succeed Lord British on the Throne of Britannia after his departure. Those plans never came to fruition, however, and she returned to Yew for an early retirement.

From the Shadow Army invasion of Luna, found at their camp at the northern end of the bridge south of the city.
Monsters lay siege to the city of Luna in Malas for a week straight while their leaders the Shadowlords manifest themselves during the attacks.

From the Royal Spies August 4, 2009 mission to locate Lady Dawn.
Magnus orders the spies to locate and protect Lady Dawn after her home is the subject of arson. After locating the arsonist in the ruins of Montor in Ilshenar, he gives them information indicating Casca ordered the attack. Following this lead, the spies find letters between Sherry the Mouse and Dawn in Casca's bedchamber. Unsing the letters, Lady Dawn is located at the Shrine of Justice. She wants to find Sherry, and so the spies go to Terort Skitas in Ilshenar where they find Pauper's Agents. Sherry had previously escaped to a secret location known only to Dawn. A Hero of Britannia has returned...

From Dawn's Meeting with the Platinum Dragons August 7, 2009.
Citizens gather at the Counselor's Hall in northwestern Britain awiting Lady Dawn's arrival to lead the expidition to the Shrine of Spirituality to meet with one of the mysterious gray robes Seers. The ever obnoxious 'strange bird' informs the crowd that Dawn left word that she would be at a secret location, discernable only from a story written by Sherry the Mouse. At the Jollier Fairgrounds, Lady Dawn was discovered to have been turned into a statue by a lich named Pygmalion. After tracking him to the crypts in Covetous, he was eventually cut down. His journal revealed how to free Dawn using three magical mallet and chisel sets. Once Dawn is freed, she sets off for the meeting at the shrine. It is then learned that the Seers are in fact Platinum Dragons wishing to ally with the Virtuous Peoples of Britannia against the Shadowlord menace - with Lady Dawn as Britannia's Champion...

From the Battle for Luna August 9, 2009.
Luna faced a week of terror as the Shadowlords sent wave after wave of their monsterous Shadow Army to Luna in an attempt to conquer the city. Each night, the brave defenders managed to crush the Army's advances from their camp at the northern end of the bridge just south of Luna.

The final invasion included multiple Shadowlord manifestations and two Crimson Dragons. Lady Dawn and Fayaxion, the Platinum Dragon, led the fight on two fronts as the Shadow Army attempted to distract defenders by threatening Skara Brae as well. When the Army finally fell, Lady Dawn used a spell found on one of the Shadowlord manifestations to destroy the black invasion gate at the camp south of the now-saved Luna.

(Note: Great Lakes was the only shard with so many defending players that it required splitting the invasion forces between two cities to combat the crippling lag.)
