So far as this author is aware, Geryon is the one-known example of the Ettin race that is not-uncivilized. He does, however, share the malign selfishness of his race.
By profession, Geryon is an antiques dealer. His ethics are virtually non-existent. It appears he will literally buy and sell anything, and has been oft-known to out-and-out steal his wares. (One can easily imagine him stealing something and then selling it back to its original owner while barely feigning innocence.) Geryon survives by the skin of his two sets of teeth, by acquiring favors at exactly the right moment from exactly the right people.
He first came to the attention of the Britannian government when he stole a sacred belt belonging to Hipolati, a Queen of a Savage Tribe in Central Ilshenar. He had framed the theft on Hercules (exactly why is unclear, perhaps in revenge for Hercules not agreeing to steal it for him), though Hercules's crimes were by this point already quite-sufficient without adding to them.
Since then, Geryon has shown up time and time again, dealing in some stolen artifact or other, most-recently dealing in a treasure stolen from Lord Blackthorn's castle during the riots that destroyed it (before rebuilding).
