Sir Dupre

Occupation: Paladin

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Location: Unknown

Alignment: Good

Status: Living

Bio:
Dupre was, and likely remains in some capacity, a great Knight and Paladin of Britannia. He was a close associate of Lord British and Nystul, and appears to have in some capacity known the "Stranger," also known as the "Avatar" to some, who slew Mondain and set a shining path of example for the Virtues. He is associated with the City of Trinsic.

His known exploits include the following (not in any particular order):

• Fighting alongside then-future Queen Dawn in various battles against the Juka (long before Dawn ascended to the throne);

• Also during the conflict against the Juka, Exodus, and Blackthorn, seeking and procuring an alliance between Britannia and the Meer that, more or less, stands to this very day;

• Leading the armies to take back Trinsic from Minax and her vile undead army lead by Juo'Nar;

• Leading, in some indirect capacity it seems, the True Britannians Faction;

• Taking a leading role in the rebuilding of the Bell of Courage during the first of several matters involving it;

• (After a long absence from public life) leading the armies of Britannia to what may well be a final dispute of Exodus.

Like many noted heroes, however, Dupre's comings and goings are odd and unpredictable. He seems to be around at some points, and not around at others. He does not appear to have had a seat on the Ruling Council, and this had a significant advantage for him, as it enabled him to survive the brutal assault on the Ruling Council that brought Casca to the throne.

As of the time of writing (RL time Summer 2012) Dupre has been more-active than has been typical for a long time, brought out of a kind of retirement, or at least a retrenchment, in part by Sherry the Mouse, who perceived the need for greater unity in the realm. Dupre took direct command of the Britannian Royal Guard, with what appears to be the full consent of Royal Guard Commandant Gwendolyn Kincade. Under his leadership the Guard was led to what may well be a final defeat of Exodus. Whether he will remain in the public eye, and on the public stage, however, remains very much to be seen.

Like most mythological figures, it may well be that Dupre's mytho-heroic status is as much a matter of timing as anything else.
