Brief Bio:
Dawn was Queen of Britannia, having come to that role through an process which, though opaque, can said to be welcomed by most Britannians. She slew Lord Blackthorn many years ago, and slew Lord Casca more recently.She died in the line of duty, at the (indirect) hand of the demon lord Virtuebane, and the (direct) hand of her husband, Ors, who was possessed at the time.

- Early History
Dawn was a native of the City of Yew. Her parents died when she was young, and she was raised by her Grandfather, a retired Knight of the Realm who schooled her in the arts of combat and in the ways of Virtue.
- First Appearance
Dawn, then a very young lady, fought in the wars against the Juka, who had been manipulated by Blackthorn into attacking Britannia. Though the fighting began in Yew, it was in a battle in Britain that she caught the attention of Dupre, who effectively recruited her into the "inner circle" that advised the leaders of the realm in the absence of Lord British, and became a "Royal Knight" (a new name for the Order of the Silver Serpent).
Though Dawn was at first suspicious of the Meer, who followed the Juka through time to help us fight them, Blackthorn, and Exodus, she eventually became friends with a Meer girl named Dasha. Dasha and Dawn shared the experience of losing their homes.
Some time after the Juka war, Blackthorn gathered up some followers and, without any obvious help from Exodus or the juka, attacked the City of Yew. It was during that attack that Dawn had the distinct honor of landing the killing blow on Blackthorn. For her efforts she was rewarded with Dawn's Music Box, replicas of which are owned by many Britannians. Some state that she was named a "Regent" of the realm at some point, but no document could be located to verify that.
- Absence from Public Life
Regardless of whether or not she was appointed Regent, Dawn retreated entirely from public life following her slaying of Blackthorn. She eventually married and settled in her home city of Yew, in a house at the west end of town, south of the Court of Truth and on the east end of the bay. There she lived quietly with her husband, a simple but strong farmer named Ors, just an ordinary girl in Yew living an ordinary life, for many years. Britannia was ruled by the Ruling Council, and regulated by the High Council.
- Dawn, Warrior of Destiny
Along with Sherry the Mouse, Dawn was one of the last links to the Lord British regime. When the evil elf Casca became King of the realm through apparent trickery and exploiting of a desperate situation he had helped to create in the first place, he eventually came to see Dawn as a threat despite her long absence, and attempted to kill her by burning her house down. He failed, and Dawn ended up joining, and then leading the gathering resistance against Casca.
Dawn had changed somewhat in the intervening years. She was no longer the brave but naive and borderline-foolish little girl we once knew, with few experiences besides training, a few big battles, and a role she was thrust into rather than earned. Instead, she was a young lady, smarter and shaped by more ordinary life experiences.
Dawn led the resistance through its critical last stages, working with Royal Spymaster Magnus Gray, and played a key role in the direct battle against the Shadowlords that took place at the Fire Temple, the final fight against the Crimson Dragons which took place in Felucca, and finally being the one to kill Casca by destroying the magic, Shadowlord-powered gemstone that gave him life. Casca thus became the second major villain to be slain, directly, by Dawn, the third of one counts the Shadowlords themselves and counts them as one.
- Queen Dawn
Following the conclusion of long Shadowlord conflicts, Dawn was crowned Queen of Britannia. In the political confusion that often follows such catastrophic events, it is difficult to saw who crowned her, exactly, but not many people seemed to care. Some stability in the realm was needed, and Dawn was both qualified and willing.
Her first actions upon being crown Queen mostly revolved around the appearance of Ter Mur, the [Underworld]], and the Stygian Abyss. Specifically, she or her staff sent soldiers and cannons to contain the evils of the Underworld, and she established a Britannian outpost in that dark pit of Hell, in order to monitor the evil down there. She also made diplomatic overtures to the Gargoyle Queen of Ter Mur, (Queen Zhah).
- Virtuebane
With the coming of the demon lord Virtuebane and his vile half-human minions the Bane Chosen, the young warrior Queen was put to the test. She took a series of good measures, and also made a series of what can only be called mis-steps. She put the Crystal of Duplicity, which she'd intended to use to clear the demonig magics preventing rebuildilng in the demon-wrecked city of Magincia, on display in the Throne Room of Castle British, thus half-inviting an attack by Virtuebane and the Demon Conclave that was probably inevitable anyway. This would be an example of a mis-step. However, during that attack she was literally the only thing that prevented the city of Britain from falling; most of the defenders were ready to give up, but she did not let them. The city of Britain, due mostly and perhaps only to her efforts, did not fall in an attack that was never quite met to make it fall. Further, Queen Dawn took prudent steps to contian a full-fledged invasion of Britannia's cities by Virtuebane's Armies, and to secure Britannian dominance over the seas. She also managed to bring in the Meer and the Ophidians to assist in containing Virtuebane's invasions, though it fell to Britannian citizens to directly fight the invasions within the cities themselves.
Despite these prudent measures, Virtuebane had done his work. Dawn's eaerlier mis-step with the Crystal led her to be accused of the Sin of Pride. The Sin of Pride is a funny sort of sin. Once you're accused of it, almost everything you do can be interpreted in that light, and the accusations are hard to shake off. Queen Dawn found her political support eroding.
- Death of the Lioness
Though Virtuebane's attacks meant with the stiff resistance of the Britannian citizenry, the attacks persisted and Virtuebane himself proved to be beyond any direct attack. Frustration, and indeed desperation, set in. Queen Zhah's magicians devised a way to strike at the demon lord, using magics that clustered around the Virtue of Humility and a sword that had been in Dawn's family for some generations (one of several, it is said). The ritual to properly Imbue Dawn's sword took place at the Humility Shrine in Ilshenar, and it was there that Virtuebane unleashed his most effective and cruellest attack. Ors, under the influence somehow of Virtuebane, went to the Shrine and stabbed his own wife, using a demonically poisoned dagger. In a small, but important, hope, Dawn's sword, now presumably capable of harming Virtuebane physically, was not recovered by Virtuebane.
It is not yet known who will succeed Queen Dawn.
Dawn, a fine young lady and a powerful warrior with much growing left to do, will be missed.
