Occupation: Hard to say, really...."Apprentice" mage, though powerful for an apprentice, last anyone knew
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Location: Unknown
Alignment: Easily persuaded seems to best describe it.
Status: Unknown
Bio:
Malabelle was a mage of some power, but held the status of "apprentice" to the Dark Mistress, Minax. She appears to have not necessarily been evil by nature, but rather was tricked by Minax into believing that Lord British had harmed her lover, a man named Tyball, in some way. Malabelle was instrumental in some way in Minax's invasion of Trinsic, led by Juo'Nar. In fear of Malabelle's potential as a mage, Minax kept her as an apprentice of some kind, regardless of her power.
At some point, Dupre appears to have convinced Malabelle of the truth, that it was Minax herself, and not British, who had brought harm to Tyball, and thus Malabelle changed sides.
Oddly enough, Minax appears to have harbored quasi-parental feelings toward the gullible girl, and her betrayal, justified though it was, sent Minax into an odd rage. Interviews with Minax during this period suggest the Dark Enchantress torn between wanting to cuddle Malabelle in her arms and rip her to shreds.
Malabelle was re-captured by Juo'nar, and a rescue attempt was led by Dupre. Reports differ as to whether or not this attempt was successful, but either way, it's clear that Malabelle passed to Duper information on how to destroy Juo'nar, and thus free Trinsic. Her role is not in question; the only thing in question is if she gave the information in person or through a note.
Either way, her current condition, and whereabouts, are not known. And the same would go for her hapless lover Tyball.
For all anyone knows, both remain in Minax's clutches, tortured and violated in ways we cannot conceive of. Their screams, even if heard only in our imaginations, can serve as a reminder that evil, though it can never be vanquished completely, must be fought constantly.
Then again, some readers will find it more tolerable to imagine that the couple was reunited, and escaped, and lives out their lives together in a kind of happiness, interrupted only by occasional looks over the shoulder.
What you believe, reader, is of no consequence to me. Both are equally possible. Take your pick.
