Dear Dupre,

I heard you were successful against Exodus. My congratulations. I hate to bring more trouble to your attention, but something must be done.

I am troubled about the situation in Trinsic. Margreta, a mage from Moonglow, currently controls the city and has declared it independent of Britannia. She was briefly married to a paladin before his strange murder, and her rule has several complications. She has used magic to control many of the city council. She also has eyes everywhere. She is a criminal if not something worse.

I am working with a few to break her control of Trinsic. One is a young archer named Gwendolyn Kincade who says you are already aware of the situation. It is a challenge to fight in a city with so many innocent people, but Gwendolyn has a few ideas on how to minimize collateral deaths. I have also been working to break Margreta�s control on the paladins of Trinsic. Hopefully, you won�t have to fight the entire city when you come.

I would come in person, but I dare not draw attention to myself. I am sending my loyal retainer Clancy with this letter.
