Title: Binding of Souls

Here in this tome I write down my findings on the binding of two souls. Not just any two souls mind you... But souls of the opposite. Light and Darkness if you please. My goal in doing this was to obtain a powerful magical artifact. A stone said to give the bearer great magical power. The exact power is only hinted at. There are many tales and legends, but no pure details. To obtain the stone a marriage of two souls must take place. One of Light and One of Darkness.

To start off one must find the souls of course. A soul of darkness seems easy enough to find in these lands. A true soul of light... I've searched for years and every soul I've found is tarnished in some way. I think tho at last I have a prospect... I must study this subject more closely.

Yes... Yes. I think this soul will do nicely. Now I can go on with the details. These two souls must be convinced to join together in what they believe is their own free will. Whether I trick them into thinking they are going to obtain great wealth or whatever it is they desire... I will do whatever it takes. This is the first requirement. Next off is that the place of the ceremony must be a place of power... I think I have found such a place. They study daemons there and there is an altar that I could do the ceremony on. I'm not sure if I could convince them to let me do my ceremony but that is a matter to worry about later.

It says in the ancient text that darkness is all engulfing and will try to extinguish the light. But at the peak of the ceremony light will burn so bright that all will have to avert their gaze. When the light returns to normal the darkness will be gone. Leaving two souls of light and the stone. The Rumor is that the Darkness burnt out of the one soul is imbued into the stone... but that is just a rumor. Regardless the stone has great power. And in this world power is all that matters.
