Title: Sandlewood Poets - Endren
Author: SB Poetry Contest
This poem was taken from the May 27th Sandlewood Box Poetry Contest as recited by it's author:
-Endren-
"In my many years I have seen many adventures. Yet tonight, I will not tell you a tale of my past. Instead I would like to share with you a poem of someone who dares to be different. I think we all know a person in our own lives like this. I will dedicate this reading to those people..."
~Colourblind~
Seeing the pictures of his thoughts,
He was oblivious to the world outside.
Weaving his way through the fabric of society
He reached out for his impeding dreams,
Refusing to be part of the world's quilt.
Another patch to be added to the world's history
The bland repetitivness of the norm,
The colors dull and grey.
He would be different
He would start his new thread.
Unable to see what was laid before him,
He used his dreams to see the colours!
