The temple was held to be very important to the demonic civilization. Demonic texts have called the place a great sacrificial altar, a field of battle, a meeting place of worlds, and a fiery summit.
Demons do not generally worship beings of greater power than themselves. They have been known to make alliances with such beings, for power or an excuse for war.
