So far as this author is aware, Geryon is the one-known example of the Ettin race that is not-uncivilized. He does, however, share the malign selfishness of his race.

Geryon stole a sacred belt belonging to Hipolati, a Queen of a Savage Tribe in Central Ilshenar. He had framed the theft on Hercules (exactly why is unclear, perhaps in revenge for Hercules not agreeing to steal it for him), though Hercules's crimes were by this point already quite-sufficient without adding to them.
