Hipolati is the Queen of a female-dominated Savage tribe in Central Ilshenar. She came to the attention of the Britannian Government, specifically the Volunteer Royal Guard under Commander Christine Keel, through an unfortunate event wherein Hercules was framed for stealing her sacred belt by the antiques-dealing ettin Geryon.
Later on, Hipolati helped the Royal Guard devise a way to end Hercules's misdeeds, and the mental corruption that created them, by entering the would-be hero's mind. The method was based on one used many years ago by Hipolati's tribe.
Hipolati was not a stupid lady, no true leader can be stupid, but her lack of grasp of the Britannian language (sometimes called "English") led her to some strange sentence structures and some strange pronunciations. Some of the cruder members of the Royal Guard misinterpreted this but luckily the cooler heads are usually in charge of talking to people.
