While winter snows may not have fallen on Newcastle Township, festive cheer and excitement abounded throughout their Holiday Get-Together. Prafectus Oona and the Royal Knights of Redemption decked the Newcastle Municipal Hall for the occasion, as it was the hub of the evening’s activities.

Partygoers arrived early and proceeded to enjoy the platters of food and friendly conversation. Soon the revelers were asked to assemble in the Municipal Hall’s meeting room where they received plump gift bags from Arzakon Smash and Oona. The gifts had been generously donated from various RKR members, as well as Rachel of CFC, and Sammy Acatour.

Everyone was soon gathered on the roof off the Hall to watch the battle competition hosted by Arzkaon. Lady Lava covered the fights in her earlier article, ‘Newcastle Township Drips in Holiday Red Blood’. Unfortunately, I was a bit overwhelmed by the action and my eyes glazed over several times. One bout that I was able to devote my attention to was the swiftest of the night; Lyric of YM soundly trounced Cao Qaolian of ToM in mere seconds!

A brief break in the combat allowed people to travel to the Wild Rose Inn and Café and collect the large piles of gold and artifacts glittered amongst the grasses and trees. When asked how much had been spread on the forest floor for this event, Malag-aste would only say that it was "quite a bit..."

Packs laden with gold, the merrymakers returned to the Municipal Hall for the remainder of the battles. Awards for the best dressed were given out to Arrow of Yew, Ghost, and Chaotic Barbie. Their red and green attire reflected the holiday spirit. Congratulations! Congratulations also go to Lyric of YM for her skill in archery; she is a definite asset to the Britannian Armed Forces!

The only things to mar the night’s celebrations was a young-looking wolf that growled angrily and nipped at the party-goers, and the rumor of a grisly box being discovered in the Newcastle Abbey. The contents of the box were purported to be the headless remains of an important official, left at the Abbey by someone in the Crimson Order on behalf of Nosfentor. (I will bring you updates on these stories as they unfold.)
