Bio:<br> Exodus's true nature was never quite figured out for certain, but the most intelligent speculation had him as some kind of demonic machine. What was known for certain is that Exodus was an evil entity, and was the unholy spawn of Minax and Mondain. He lived, if that word is the correct one to use, in the southwest corner of Central Ilshenar, in an area known as the Exodus Dungeon or the Power Core.

Exodus was often credited with assisting Blackthorn's conversion from pompous, misguided, resentful nobleman into full-fledged evil. This, however, was rather wrong.

Together, Blackthorn (or, rather, a being incorrectly believed to be Blackthorn) and Exodus disrupted the timeline of Ilshenar, making that facet's history bizarrely, dizzyingly uncertain. (Is there a crueler fate than to not know what parts of one's history are true and which aren't?) Among other violations of the timeline, they brought back the Juka race, and unwittingly the Meer race as well, from antiquity. Exodus also enslaved the gargoyles of Ilshenar, an offshoot of the Ter Mur gagoyles.

The efforts of (the presumed) Blackthorn, Exodus, and the Juka (under the foul leadership of the Warlord Kabur) led to many deaths in Britannia, and the Meer's efforts to counteract the various unleashed evils led to a plague, making matters worse. They were greatly weakened, however, by the freeing of the Ter Mur gargoyles through the efforts of the people of Britannia, and the bombardment, though not destruction, of Exodus in his own lair. Even after the war to free the Ilshenar Gargoyles was over, Exodus's dungeon remained vulnerable, and occasional raids there made Exodus's road to recovery difficult.

For a machine, however, time is not measured in years or months. Their time horizon lasts as long as their physical parts and their strangely-coded instructions fromn their makers last. In Exodus's case, it was too long.

What we now know is that, prior to the all-out-war between Britannia and the various legions of Exodus, Lord Blackthorn, foolishly charged into Exodus's lair and attempted to take on Exodus on his own. Blackthorn failed, and was imprisoned, and replaced by an Exodus-made doppelganger, which was slain by then-Royal Knight, and eventual Queen, Dawn when it launched an all out assault on Yew. After Exodus's defeat, he held onto Blackthorn.

Dawn, following the defeat of the Blackthorn doppelganger, stated the Exudos's power had faded, and such indeed appaered to be the case at the time. As noted, however, Exodus's time horizon was infinite. It bided its time, and went dormant, probably knowing it'd have another chance. The denizens of Ilshenar came to call Exodus "The Sleeper." Exodus slep through many great events.

Its chance came some years later, when the meddlings of a foolish little student girl named Callie awakened the dormant Exodus. Upon the awakening of Exodus, a long-dormant contingency plan it had was activated. The timeline was messed with yet again, with effects that remain uncertain even after these events are over. Exodus retook Ver Lor Reg, the once-freed city of the Ilshenar Gargoyles, forcing the gargoyles back into Ter Mur, and made inroads into Britannia in part through the meddlings of the Diligence Subset: Evil gargoyles who saw the machine Exodus as the ultimate in Diligence, one of the three principles so dear to gargoyle spiritual life.

Exodus once again, however, found his path blocked by the efforts of Britannia. Under the leadership of Dupre, Britannia raided Ver Lor Reg, where Exodus had regained physical form, and slew him in a long and drawn out battle.
