Title: The Early History of OGD

Author: Drax Todzauberer

Tthe Order of the Gold Dragon extends to long ago.. before Lord British allowed the formal formation of non-standard Guilds, long before the citizen recuitment of Order and Chaos guards, and even before lifting the ban on being able to sit. In the beginning the Order of the Gold Dragon was a vision of founder Sir Sabbathius. He envisioned an elite order of paladins, in which would be a divison of his then guild, The PenDragon Empire then based in Trinsic. The world was a more dangerous place then. Murderers roamed the highways, preying on citizens that used them for travel, long before the popularity of Magic...

Not long passed until Sir Sabbathius, long seen Antek, and Sir Lagsalot came upon a tower a faire distance South of Trinsic. Being this was one of the First towers to be Known of in all Britannia, naturally they investigated. In Innerards of the tower were battered and ruined, however, the adopted it as thier home, Furishing it and making the warm with look of being used for it's intended purpose.. Be it known that soon, the rightful owner of this tower did return.. with force. A Force of man power simply known as "The Six", consisting of Sir Sabbathius, Antek, Lagsalot, and three others whose names are lost to history, did hold the tower from the hordes of Trolls and other monsters that came to claim back what was thiers.. however, they were defeated, and the Tower remained under the care of Sir Sabbathius..

A few days post, Sabbathius came to help care for the tower and found that some catasrophe did somehope demolish the tower, and naught remained of it.. dismade, Sir Sabbathius took upon a long journey, to quest for another tower which he would care for. After a brief search, Sir Sabbathius came across such a tower North of Britian, just outside the great swamp there. This tower was belived to be once the property of a liche, but Sir Sabbathius maintained it as he did the others, and after such a time, he was able to find a special individual able to rekey locks, and there stands the OGD Tower till this day.

The Pendragon Empire at this time, gathered enough gold to purchase a small forge, and it was placed to the north of the Tower, and hence all of the Empire, including the Order itself, moved into the swamps. Some time passed, Although the PenDragon Empire had best intentions for itself about this time it would eventually decay to infighting and other various factors that have disolved many guilds. OGD then seperated into its own guild, and some, including myself, joined that guild. Days turned to weeks, and OGD began to slowly grow. The forge that still stands out front of the Tower was added after a breif, but laborous time.

OGD became allies with the older House of Storm Rune when they were in thier prime. We mined the nearby mountains, logged the nearby trees, slew the
