Molly of Paws is a peasant girl from the hamlet of Paws, on the outskirts of Britain's southwest edge. She fell in with the strange group known as the Fellowship. The Fellowship helped her get along despite her increasing blindness, eventually relocating to their new village called Dawn, and indeed appear to have discovered she had some ability to have visions or divine prophecies.
