Darkness flitted
through the skies. To
any stargazer, it was
a normal night. If
they were VERY
observant, they might
notice a splotch of
darkness blot out some
stars for a few
moments. One such
startgazer did notice
this, and it was the
last thing he ever
noticed. He steped
back from his
telescope, and it was
blotted out of view. He
held up his torch to
this new darkness,
and his torch was
engulfed by it. The
creature reached out
with an un-earthly
claw and plunged it
into the man's chest.
The man screamed
and fell to the ground,
as cold as the void
between the stars.
Then he started to
change. The darkness
in his heart was
changing and twisting
the man's shape. In a
matter of moments,
the man was a
darkness creature
himself. He had
become one of the
shadow horrors.

The paladins were all
in the Empathy
Abbey in Yew. There
was a convention and
all attended. Everyone
was surprised when
2 creatures came
through the doors
without opening them.
They were not black,
but they were voids.
The room was filled
with an eerie cold.
These 2 creatures took
on the shape of
whatever the person
looking at them feared
most. One of the
creatures touched a
peasant, and the
peasant was
transformed into
another of these
shadow horrors.The
new one started a
rampage, trying to
slay as many paladins
as it could. When a
paladin fell to it, he
simply dropped to the
ground, a pale white
color and frigid cold.
They did not create
another horror as long
as there was no evil in
their hearts. Another
paladin ran for the
door and grabbed the
handle, only to have
the doors shatter
where the horrors
entered, then he was
striken down by a
horror, and became
one himself. A few
brave paladins stood to
fight these monsters.
One raised his sword
and swung it at the
horror. The sword
shattered into a
millions shards and
the paladin dropped
down, his arm was
white and cold, and he
could not move it. He
did the only thing he
could, he grabbed a
silver candlestick
with his good arm and
lobbed it at the horror.
The shadowy demon
screamed when the
silver candlestick hit
it, and both the horror
and the candlestick
shattered into a
million shards.
Finally the paladins
knew what must be
done to defeat these
monsters. They lobbed
anything they had
that was silver at the
creatures, and
shattered them one by
one. Finally there
was only one left, but
they were out of
silver. It opened its
mouth and spoke in
terrible words, as cold
as the creature itself.
"I shall return. We
shall never be
defeated, only pushed
back. We will never
relent, never retreat.
You cannot win, only
prolong your defeat."
"What do you want
from us?" Asked a
paladin. "I want you to
die," said the creature, and it disappeared in a
blinding flash of
darkness. Its voice
was still heard.
"Wherever there is
darkness, I shall be
there..."
