This book is about two specific spells, Recall and Moongate, and how they work. My beliefs are that every iota is bound to every other iota in the world with bonds called "Metaphysical Bonds". They are like bands of elastic. When you cast recall, it severs all of your bonds except for the bonds to where you want to go, then they slingshot you there. But with moongate, it actually channges the makeup of reality. It halts all bonds in the immediate area of the gate, so the person entering it it pulled along through the gate by their own bonds, but no one is quite sure how this works.

This moongate spell is very dangerous, and repeated use of it is, I believe, causing the gradual breakdown of reality. Have ye noticed that every day the winds of lag make doing EVERYTHING harder? I believe the moongate spell is the cause. There is another theory about the gate spell. That it opens a portal to another world, with another portal at that portals opening that leads to the nether end of what you assume to be the first gate, but is the second. Did you get all that? This method is just as dangerous, because extra-planar creatures can be quite nasty, and if one found its way through the gate, it could tear our world apart.
