'''Author: Hesperis '''

Moridor the Great,
hero of shame and
known by many as the
greatest of heros.
Twas the battle in
Shame that this
valiant warrior took
his fame.
In the damp caves he
was the fighter on
the forefront of the
party always pushing
the tired soldiers to
their feet and giving
them the hope to travel
further.
One of these
warriors in particular
beleives that he was
the only reason they
passed the swarms of
Earth Elementals that
hit the weakened
party near the end of
their journey.

"There were hordes
of them, one after
another rearing their
ugly faces and
growling. I had run
out of bandages and
was nearly crippled.
However, Moridor
stood tall. Twas his
blade that crushed
throught the tough
elemental like sand. It
was amazing."

''- The Tale of Moridor: Hero of Shame -''
''by Lucas Eventide''
They headed into the
caves early that
morning, the heat was
already beating down
on their metalic-clad
bodies. The song of a
bard in their party
lifted spirits with a
light melody.

"Behold the break
of daylight!
"Soon enough we'll
see...
"The treasures
there are bound to be
"In the caves so late
this night.

And for their guild
they trudged onward.
Practicing their skills
on the orcs that
wandered too far from
their home.
Through the forests
west of Yew's Abbey,
far from the safety
it provides, the party
came upon an
encampment. Burning
with the fire of
combat they jumped
into action. Fighting
like bears they ripped
through the orcs. A
mace cracked the bone
helmet of the orcish
lord. A katana's blade
sliced across an orcs
chest and spilled the
remains of a fawn.
Twas in the final
moments of battle
they realized how
ready they were to be
inside the caves. They
were wolves, a team
of warriors that knew
each others moves by
instinct.

The forest stood no
chance against them.
"Virtue, guide us
through the below.
Bring us safety as we
cleanse the earth of
the virtuless
monsters." And with
these few words they
headed down. Their
prayer was complete
and Moridor stood
watchful as they
plunged into the
muddy depths.
The light from their
torches cast
reflections on the
walls and the eyes of
the few animals living
in the darkness. For
the moment
everything was calm.
Then the clash of
swords began. Light
was dancing with the
combatants: a giant
spider, a slime, and an
earth elemental.
A spell flew to the
earth elemental. The
bard launched the
slime and the spider
into combat with each
other.

The team fought like
this for hours.
Burrowing their way
farther into the day
and the cavernous
expanse, they filled
their pouches to the
brim. Finally it was
time to turn back.
Perhaps they had
lost track in the
redness of hate but
they had a long way to
the place they had
come from.
Lifting each other
over baracades and
cliffs, Moridor
noticed the darkness
in his companion's
eyes. He dropped some
kindling from his
pack and lit it.

"Time to rest. Who
has all the fish in
this party?"

As quickly as they
lost hope, their spirits
were lifted again.
They ate and sang,
counting up thier
profits and gaining the
power to move
themselves on.
Footsteps echoed
down the corridors
and slammed against
the walls of Moridor's
camp. In the distant
flame-light he could
see the earth moving.
Everyone equiped
themselves and stood
back to back watching
the walls form into
arms, legs, eyes.
The elementals
attacked from all sides
their force was much
for the weary
travelers. Many came
down with ailments,
poisoned by the
spiders and the oozes.
Moridor fought with
grace and skill. Able to
heal his friends and
himself.

One of his warriors
had fallen in the
middle of the battle.
Nae dead, but crippled
enough. He dashed
underneath the
elemental, cut it to the
ground before it's foot
finished off the
warrior. Then pulled
his friend to saftey
and wraped bandages
around his wounds.

Twas because of
Moridor's efforts and
loyalty that the
elemental beings didn't
finish off the party.
hero sent by Virtue to
help them.
Might his
name be known
throughout Brittania.
