Book 31, Part 6,

Julia Novelle is alive.
As is her daughter.
They are both in Yew,
where she once held
residence. Apparently
she was unable to find
Garet or Kennith
when they escaped at
the Crossroads, and
were hopeless. She
even said that she
might have to give up
the girl, so she could
find her husband. I
told her what had
happened to him, but I
left out the part about
Garet. My morals told
me it was wrong, but I
examined the facts at
hand. Both children
were happy. Cassius
constantly sent me
gifts and letters
detailing how much he
loved the boy, and how
happy his wife and
he were. While Julia
was becoming a
nervous wreck, and
had told me she
planned on leaving the
girl at the Abbey,
while looking for
Kennith. I wrote her
back, telling her how
foolish that plan was,
and that I would tell
her were Garet was
atleast, so she could
leave his sister with
him, but I received no
reply. A pity indeed.

Book 100, Part 10,

This is my last
journal entry I fear. I
have had much
excitement in my
ninety years, but I am
continually aware of
nightmares, which
plagued me some two
decades ago. A victim
of one of my
experiments searches
still for his children,
and his wife, and
knows that I have
much information.
But I cannot allow him
to find his kin. He is a
monster, and must be
stopped. I have taken
an ancient spellbook I
found in the ruins of
Yew, and am heading
off now to stop him.
Young Jill, my loyal,
and exuberant student
is asleep now. I watch
her slight chest rise
and fall, and
remember the days
when I was her age.

So long ago it was. The
niece of Kethan and
Natalia O'Wyn'Er, I
took her under my
wing, but a few years
ago. It is strange how
the time has passed so
quickly. The effect of
an old prototype of
mine no doubt.

Faithful Lucius. My
ever-present
research assistant,
and friend. No one
understood me like he
did, and even now, as
he has grown older,
and I realize, has a
family, I cannot think
but know how hard
my work would have
been without him.
Always getting rid of
unwelcome guests,
and helping secure
some time with the
Dual Lords, I owe him
so very much.
And lastly, before I
walk out of the door of
my house forever, my
eyes glimpse an
age-old portrait of an
old, beautiful woman.
The noble in the
picture, is refined,
elegant, and very
respectable. I always
envied her, but alas it
was that I was the
cause of her death.
Poor, poor K'Tane. I
shall miss thee as
well. The only woman
I could have loved.

Farewell all, and may
my journey be
fruitful, all of our
lives, and our
children's lives shall
be safer.
