confirm Lord Virtuebane's
memories. Due to our
lack of ships, I have

pirates from Maggie the
Red's crew to get what
we need from Despise."

I write now of the Crypt
of the Assassin of Lies,
Advari. In the early times
of Sosaria, he was feared
for both his spells and
his blade. He was head of
a guild of great
assassins. Those
who joined him gave up
everything to gain the
skills he would share.

Even the Kings and
Emperors of the Four
Great Continents feared
their enemies would buy

"Advari's promise" - a
binding necromantic
contract to see them
dead.

Eventually, these
kings managed to bribe
one of Advari's assassins
into betraying him. Slowly,
over months, Advari grew
weak and tired, his life
strangled by unseen
poison.

Advari knew deceit
when he felt its cold
hands, and he raged in
Pride that a junior could
manage to kill him.

He never learned who had
poisoned him, but Advari
did not die quietly.
Weakened and withered,
he gathered all of his
assassins in a room, and
in a final gasp of life,
promised leadership to
whoever held his blade. He
collapsed dead, and in
greed, the other assassins
tried to grasp
the blade. They did not
notice the curse on it
until it had claimed
them all, filling Advari's
Crypt.

I believe Advari's
Crypt is deep under
Deceit. I have not found
the exact location, only
that white fire burns
brightly over the entrance
and a voice whispers the
secret word to those who
seek Advari's legacy.
