I have <br /> not sent him any of this <br /> yet since I don't consider <br /> my work complete. <br /> <br /> To look at the problem, I <br /> started with the basics <br /> of lich magic. No all <br /> users of mana or magic <br /> become liches when they <br /> die. Use of some magical <br /> rites will never result in <br /> such an undeath. It is <br /> also clear that some uses <br /> of magic increase the <br /> odds of such a state <br /> naturally. Some also <br /> choose to find spell <br /> capable of insuring their <br /> afterlife as a lich. In <br /> both cases of chance and <br /> choice, the body is <br /> infused with certain dark <br /> animation energies. Such <br /> animation explains undead <br /> that were neither magical <br /> in life or death. A lich <br /> retains the ability to <br /> regenerate mana, but it <br /> is unclear whether undead <br /> tap into the same source <br /> that living beings do. <br /> <br /> It seems likely that this <br /> Cult does not control all <br /> undead or all liches since <br /> such a condition would <br /> surely result in our <br /> forces being overrun by <br /> an army of undeath. <br /> Something connects them <br /> and likely the Cults <br /> human members. <br /> <br /> I believe dreams hold the <br /> key. I have heard reports <br /> of sensitives, humans with <br /> strange connections to <br /> the ether, suffering <br /> horrible dreams that <br /> drove them mad.
