marry an elf. I crossed <br />
my fingers and promised. <br />
No elves on the island <br />
and I don’t intend to <br />
marry, so the jokes on <br />
him. The boxes were <br />
heavy like they were <br />
filled with swords. I <br />
managed to open one<br />
when his back was turned <br />
and got me a fancy tool <br />
for cracking coconuts. <br />

I borrowed a few things <br />
from the tavern today. It <br />
was sort of fun slipping <br />
in and getting enough <br />
food for a week. I need <br />
to be careful though. The <br />
thieves guild won’t <br />
appreciate my “work,” <br />
and neither will the city <br />
watch. <br />

by Lord Trinolan today <br />
for debts unpaid. I hate <br />
that he owns this land <br />
because he is a corrupt <br />
tax collector! I don’t <br />
have the money to get <br />
my father out of <br />
debtor’s prison, so he <br />
may be forced to work <br />
for Lord Trinolan for a <br />
bit. I took a few shifts <br />
at the crystal mine <br />
hoping to pay for his <br />
release. <br />

I hate Lord Trinolan. He <br />
broke half a dozen laws <br />
selling my father to this <br />
Pemenard, but not like <br />
nobs ever follow their <br />
own laws. I tried to buy <br />
my father’s freedom with <br />
Pemanard’s own gold, but <br />
the man figured out the <br />
trick. He offered me a <br />
choice: death or a little <br />
“work.” I think <br />
“work” sounds fun…<br />

I got this moldy book <br />
from the gargoyles. It <br />
was sort of fun <br />
travelling there and back. <br />
Now I need to take the <br />
natural moongate to <br />
Ilshenar! Some of <br />
Pemenard’s men would <br />
meet me and take me to <br />
a real brigand city! Maybe <br />
I can make this adventure <br />
a regular thing.<br />
