While similar to a <br /> human in size and bearing, <br /> gargoyles are relatives to <br /> demons not humans. They <br /> live with their kin in <br /> Hythloth. A demon-slayer <br /> weapon in the hand of <br /> the righteous will kill <br /> these vermin as quickly <br /> as their balron cousins. <br /> This connection cannot be <br /> ignored. Demons destroyed <br /> Magincia. Demons invaded <br /> Yew. Daemons are the <br /> dark servants of the <br /> Shadowlord faction. Look <br /> at any major threat to <br /> humanity, and you will <br /> find a demon close at <br /> hand. <br /> <br /> Some will argue that not <br /> all gargoyles share the <br /> brutality and villainy of <br /> their kin. They will point <br /> to Ver Lor Reg as a <br /> symbol of this. This view <br /> of history is flawed. <br /> These gargoyles were <br /> servants of the creature <br /> Exodus. Perhaps we <br /> “freed” them as they <br /> would have us believe, but <br /> I see beneath the surface <br /> of their ruse. Their city <br /> sits very close to the <br /> sleeping Exodus, an area <br /> swarming with their <br /> demonic cousins and less <br /> “enlightened” gargoyles. <br /> Too close to not need a <br /> strong standing army. Too <br /> close to never be <br /> attacked. We were duped <br /> by these creatures, duped <br /> for a few useless <br /> trinkets and trade skills. <br /> <br /> Now we are faced with a <br /> new bunch of these <br /> demonic creatures. This <br /> group has conveniently <br /> been living deep <br /> underground beyond <br /> horrible dungeon caverns. <br /> These gargoyles have a <br /> standing army. These <br /> gargoyles craft powerful <br /> magic weapons and use <br /> strange lost magic. These <br /> gargoyles have been <br /> invited into our city by <br /> the blood-traitor Dawn. <br /> There is now a direct <br /> gate between humanity’s <br /> capital and the city of a <br /> lost demon tribe! <br /> <br /> Mark my words, the <br /> wings of a gargoyle army <br /> will block out the sun <br /> over Britain if they are <br /> not stopped. <br /> <br /> <br /> Chapter 2: The Elves<br /> <br /> To look at the elf <br /> menace completely, we <br /> must look at history. <br /> Elves disappeared into <br /> “lore and mystery” <br /> during the cataclysm <br /> caused by Mondain. The <br /> few of this motley crew <br /> who remained in Sosaria <br /> forced themselves onto <br /> various humans, mixing <br /> their foul blood with <br /> human purity. <br /> <br /> Their “return” has been <br /> nothing but problems for <br /> humanity. These immoral <br /> creatures have taught <br /> honest humans their foul <br /> spellweaving, an “art” <br /> focused on seduction and <br /> consorting with demons. <br /> They have brewed foul <br /> poisons and given these <br /> to elf assassins who due <br /> to the natural shadowy <br /> nature of elves are <br /> almost impossible to <br /> catch. <br /> <br /> However, their worst <br /> crime took the form of <br /> Casca of Heartwood. This <br /> elf traitor managed to <br /> become king pro-tempore <br /> by deceit and murder. His <br /> action resulted in the <br /> deaths of many loyal to <br /> Britannia and humanity, <br /> including my own brother, <br /> Morton. <br /> <br /> The danger of the elf is <br /> not in swords or armies, <br /> but in their duplicity. To <br /> trust one for even a <br /> moment is to risk a <br /> dagger in the back.<br /> <br /> <br /> Chapter 3: The Meer<br /> <br /> The Meer “accidentally” <br /> plagued the city of Yew. <br /> The Meer“inadvertently” <br /> got humanity involved in <br /> their ancient blood-feud <br /> with the Juka. The Meer <br /> have shared less of their <br /> magic and trade skills <br /> than even the elves and <br /> gargoyles. The Meer hide <br /> their weakness and <br /> desperation behind <br /> mystery and secrecy. At <br /> best, they are <br /> incompetent and pathetic. <br /> At the worst, they use <br /> humanity as a sacrificial <br /> shield. Neither option is <br /> acceptable to me. <br /> <br /> <br /> Chapter 4: The Hostile <br /> Races<br /> <br /> The Juka, Orcs, Trolls, <br /> Lizardmen, Ratment, <br /> Ettins...the list goes on. <br /> These supposedly <br /> “intelligent” beings <br /> continue to plague the <br /> day to day lives of <br /> honest humans. It isn’t a <br /> productive use of time to <br /> recall every crime these <br /> foul creatures have <br /> committed against <br /> humanity. However, we <br /> must never forget all of <br /> the innocent lives lost to <br /> these blood-thirsty thug <br /> species. Many of them <br /> worked for the elf Casca. <br /> Many of them work with <br /> Minax or the Shadowlords <br /> or Exodus or any other <br /> power that would see us <br /> in chains. For your <br /> children, never forget <br /> this. Some have signed <br /> meaningless treaties with <br /> these butchers! There can <br /> be no peace with any <br /> non-humans, and to forget <br /> this is madness!<br /> <br /> <br /> Chapter 5: Sherry the <br /> Mouse<br /> <br /> I will talk briefly about <br /> this creature. She is <br /> unique I believe, though <br /> she may be a runty <br /> ratman for all I know. <br /> Some would allow her <br /> small size and ability dupe <br /> them into ignoring her <br /> crimes against us. I will <br /> not. Her sedition against <br /> the humans who feed and <br /> protect her starts with <br /> her book. In this work of <br /> fiction and slander, she <br /> “exposes” two noble <br /> human beings, showing <br /> them willing to sacrifice <br /> all of us. Lord British, <br /> who she told stories to <br /> for years, was confused <br /> by her mad chitterings. <br /> He left us without <br /> leadership and protection <br /> because of her fanciful <br /> stories. Her slander <br /> against Blackthorn pushed <br /> a great man to criminal <br /> deviancy. This horrid rat <br /> now has her sights set <br /> on the new queen. <br /> <br /> <br /> Chapter 6: Dawn of Yew<br /> <br /> “Queen” Dawn shows <br /> her inexperience and <br /> callous nature when she <br /> deals with these <br /> creatures. <br /> <br /> She was “friends” with <br /> the Meer Dasha. This <br /> relationship hindered her <br /> ability to effectively wage <br /> war against the Juka. <br /> Instead of defending the <br /> contemptible Meer with <br /> human blood, she should <br /> have sacrificed them for <br /> her own kind. <br /> <br /> Dawn lived in Yew, even <br /> when its connection to <br /> Heartwood was formed. <br /> While there is no <br /> confirmation, there are <br /> rumors that humanity’s <br /> queen may not be entirely <br /> human. Even if she is a <br /> human of full blood, no <br /> doubt she was <br /> indoctrinated with elvish <br /> heresy in recent years. <br /> This might explain her <br /> lack of speed in moving <br /> against the elf lord <br /> named Casca. <br /> <br /> In the recent troubles, <br /> she forged an alliance <br /> with Dragons! Rather than <br /> treating these lizards as <br /> the beast of burdens <br /> they are, she treated <br /> them with respect and <br /> deference. Out of <br /> amusement or something <br /> more sinister, they didn’t <br /> simply just roast and eat <br /> this mad little girl! Many <br /> humans died to protect <br /> these dragons who very <br /> quickly flew the coup.<br /> <br /> Now, the little “queen” <br /> is forging alliances with <br /> the new gargoyle menace. <br /> Soon, we will have to <br /> worry about gargoyle <br /> taskmasters running <br /> Britain!
