Shamino is a hero from Britannia's past who hasn't been seen in some kind. He is associated with the City of Skara Brae and the Virtue of Spirituality. He is a Ranger and Archer by profession. He was an associate of Lord British, and of the Stranger who slew Mondain (known to some as the Avatar).

He has not been seen since Lord British's memorial to Lord Blackthorn. Some archers of the realm still occasionally wield a repeating crossbow with his name, but time and new crafting methods have enabled archers to have bows that far exceed this item (oddly known as "Shamino's Best Crossbow") in capabilities. Some sources suggested Shamino was part of the Ruling Council, but that his corpse wasn't found following the Followers of Armageddon attack on the Ruling Council suggests that these sources were incorrect.

Little is known of Shamino's personal life, though rumor suggested a romantic involvement with an actress in Britain at some point.
