Along with her brother Emerson, Jenssa was one of two Royal Spies assigned to a listening post near the entrance to the Dungeon Doom in Malas.  Jenessa was captured in an assault by the An-Kal-Lem, on behalf of the Demon Conclave.  Her brother, in a misguided effort to keep her from harm (as if someone could possibly be kidnapped by demons and not come to any harm), tried to keep information from investigators, thereby making thigns even worse for both of them.  Luckily, however, Jenessa, tortured but alive, was rescued and is said to be doing fine. 

After what she has been through, however, one could be forgiven for wondering what the future holds for her.  Demon torments leave their mark, on the body, the soul, the mind, and the sense of self.
